Edwards is okay. Basically, it has to be, because it is the only theater in Santa Maria. The theater itself is nice and they keep it clean. One thing that is strange is that sometimes they don't get wide release movies when other local theaters do, but they will get some movies that the others don't. It's kind of hit and miss. The other thing that I don't like is that they play Spanish music in the theater before the movie starts. In fact, one of the times it wasn't just in Spanish, it was Spanish rap music. A lot of people find this music offensive and irritating and they should probably try to play music that is more likely to appeal to their whole audience and not just a small portion.

The Santa Maria KFC is the worst KFC that I have ever been to. The service is terrible and they never are participating in the national promotions. I have gone in requesting a particular promo that I saw on TV and they say that they don't participate in those. Also, I have gone in asking for their chicken sandwiches (also seen on TV) and they tell me that they don't have the facilities to make the sandwiches. I don't get that one - what do they need different to put the already made chicken on a bun?

While Pep Boys does have a good selection of auto parts and accessories, their service is extremely bad. I am not sure if it is because I am a woman or because the service is just plain bad, but I can never get help here. At one time, I was standing in line at the parts counter to get a part for my car and they actually looked right past me and asked to help the people behind me. It was ridiculous. I would highly recommend going to Napa or Kragen instead.

I am not sure why, but there are only two Del Taco's on the Central Coast and they are both in Santa Maria. The food is really good and has a much better taste than Taco Bell's food. I prefer the Del Taco on the north end of town because the food seems to be much fresher (tortillas are a lot softer, food is always hot) and the workers seem to be a lot friendlier. The only drawback is that a lot of the people that work there have a very thick accent that is sometimes difficult to understand, so you have to be careful that there is no miscommunication with the order. That has happened to me a couple of times, but they are always quick to fix any mistake that they make.

Grocery Outlet is pretty good for some items. You can get some stuff for really cheap due to packaging defects or things on that order. However, I would recommend being really careful. They do guarantee that everything is fresh and prior to the "sell by" or expiration date. I would just make really sure that you buy relatively "safe" items. If you are careful about what you buy, you can save a lot of money and not sacrifice quality.

I loved this store when I was pregnant the last time. It is so nice because there is really no other maternity shop in the area except for the really expensive designer boutiques. Before Motherhood Maternity opened in San Luis Obispo, I had to travel an hour and a half to the closest one. Motherhood Maternity has really cute maternity clothes that don't look frump or "maternity" at all. They have some trendier stuff and also some more conservative stuff. It is all really cute and the prices are great. I never really understood the concept of buying super expensive maternity clothes when you will only wear them for a couple of months. Motherhood makes it affordable to look cute throughout your pregnancy.

This place is okay for frozen yogurt if you are in Santa Maria and want frozen yogurt. It is really strange, but there are not many frozen yogurt places in Santa Maria. There is only TnT's and Euro Yogurt. In my opinion, Euro Yogurt is better. The yogurt tastes better and has a better consistency. Also, the prices and portions are better. It is by far not the best frozen yogurt that I have had, but it will do if I am really craving a frozen yogurt and I am in Santa Maria.

I love to shop at this Albertson's. The layout is very nice and it is a very clean store. The checkers are very nice as well. They have wonderful produce - everything is just so fresh and appealing....
I love to shop at this Albertson's. The layout is very nice and it is a very clean store. The checkers are very nice as well. They have wonderful produce - everything is just so fresh and appealing. They also have really great muffins and breads in their bakery. The only negative is the prices. Their prices are really high and I can get the same things for much cheaper elsewhere. However, sometimes it is worth the higher price to have a pleasant shopping experience and to have the nicer produce. It is especially worth it if you are just going for a couple of things.

Baja Fresh has a lot of really good fresh tasting Mexican food on their menu. It is very "Americanized" Mexican food, but it is still very good. They have excellent taquitos and their guacamole is awesome. The food is so good that this place is always packed. It is nice too because it is walking distance to the movie theater, so you can get a quick bite to eat either before or after the movies. The servers are really nice and enthusiastic about helping the customers.

The wait is ridiculous and it is also really bad once you get a table - you have to wait a looooong time to get your food. The food isn't bad, but it just doesn't justify the price or the wait. I will say that they have some really good yeast rolls there. Pretty much, if you have a whole bunch of time and don't care if it takes a long time to get a table and get your food, then it would be just fine.
