I was referred to this hair salon by Craig's list. After several consults and price comparisons I decided to go with Sanctuary Salon in Honolulu. The prices are w/in a reasonable range and my stylist?? Phenomenal!!! Kudos to you Ricky! He cut my hair so precisely and talk about the bad hair days I was having! He knew exactly what I wanted and delivered better than I could've ever expected. I'm glad he listened to what I truly wanted and not just what he wanted to do. I had gotten that response, "Well, your hair needs to be done like this, I don't want to do it like you want," from some of the other stylists I had seen before deciding to go with Ricky. Has that ever happened to anyone else? The stylist wants to do your hair their way and not yours? How frustrating is that??

Is great! The prices are reasonable and if you have a personal relationship with Christ or desire one, this not only teaches you self defense but also self defense in a spiritual way. Now I'm sure some of you who read this aren't Christian, and that's your personal preference, however, for those who are and want to better yourself in a self defense, obedient, gaining confident way, then I highly recommend this! I'm a mother of 4 kids ages 7 - 1! So all you moms out there, don't say you don't have time for yourself. What would it do for you to know that you can defend yourself or your children if a situation called for it? What confidence I'm getting in myself! Not only that, but it sets an awesome example for my kids. It seems as though we are pushing our children to be involved and to stay physically active...well parents...let's walk the walk as well as the talk!

Have you been to Tiki's yet? Well, if you haven't read my latest on the Aston hotel, then read that, then come back to this one. Tiki's is the restaurant in the Aston Hotel. And all I can say is: YUMMY! Prices are decent and they are great for the whole family. I recently went there w/ my kids and they get a Frisbee w/ their meal! They first eat on it, then the servers clean it up and it's all yours! Kids love that kind of stuff! Now for us adults who love tasty meals...mmmmmm, Tiki's has it. Such friendly service and great staff. If you are downtown...get on over there. Even for a Saturday night, I had no problem getting seated right away for 7 o'clock reservations!

The Aston Waikiki in Honolulu was the BEST hotel we could've stayed at when we first moved here. Not only to you get free breakfast in the morning, but they provide you with all the necessities of getting to the beach (across the street!) to have breakfast on the beach! The staff was friendly and helpful! I'll always have fond memories of this hotel. If you know anyone who has to come to town, I highly recommend this hotel! We had the gov't rate, so cheap cheap cheap it was!! But if you don't have Uncle Sam on your side, it's definitely still worth it!

Okay, so I ate at this Italian jibe last night. Very casual with friendly wait staff. Though I found it rather odd to have to put your name on the list to be served! Maybe lacking help...I don't know. I ordered the steak (sorry all you veggie lovers). I wasn't too impressed. It was very fatty and I couldn't chew most of the grizzle or whatever you call that part that is just inedible. For the price...they could've done better. The garlic sauce, however, was very palatable. So, it's okay if you don't want fancy but a meal for under $40. For me personally...I'd go back to Matteo's!

So, I ended up waiting about 25 mins after my scheduled appointment before it was my turn. The spa pedicure was nice & gave me my much needed R&R, and my nails look gorgeous! Is it worth the wait? Hmmm, possibly, (I'd go again, but more than likely I'll try another that keeps their appointments better) just let the babysitter know that you won't be home for a couple of hours though!!
