Staples stores vary in how the people there treat you. I am writing specifically about the one on fourth ave and third street. Most of the people there are nice and helpful. Their customer service is usually outstanding. Most of the managers just do everything to be helpful. But, There are one or two managers that make it seem like their job is to make your life difficult, but it is much worse in other staples.

I just bought my kitchen at Williamsburg Plumbing company. I wish I had never heard of them. Their prices are NOT the best in town. I had someone come down to my house and measure etc. he messed up EVERYTHING about my order. When I asked about cabinet sizes he answered as if her were knowledgeable, but he wasn't. Thereafter he just made one mistake after another. Please, if you want to do your kitchen or bath over , FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Dr. Alan Berger is not only a good doctor, but a wonderful person. He takes the time to sit and talk to you. He makes you feel more comfortable in what could be a very uncomfortable situation. He also returns calls quite promptly when you have a question. In all, HE is the kind of person you want to have taking care of your medical needs.

Le Marais in midtown Manhattan is fantastic. It is a short walk from many Broadway productions. Their food is outstanding. They also have a huge variety of meats. (They are listed as a steak house). Some of their steaks are so good that you just want to keep coming night after night to have them. Their bread is also outstanding. Some of their food sounds too exotic for me to try -- like sweetbreads. Anyway, they are a great food establishment. I'd rate them a eight out of ten -- and I am a VERY harsh critic and picky eater. Also in general I am not a big fan of steak. Try them out!

The Seminole hard rock hotel and casino is a top rate, five star (every one of those stars is well deserved), beautiful and luxurious hotel. The casino on the ground floor is exciting and open all hours of the day and night. They seem never to go to sleep there. Personally, I saw over 50 thousand dollars won there in one evening (I just wish I was the one who was doing all that winning *grin*) anyway, it is a place that I would highly recommend. Go there to have a great time.

The Benshimon one man band is an outstanding piece of work. Mr. Benshimon can play a wedding by himself, and you would be pressed to convince yourself that your eyes are seeing the truth -- that it truly is ONE MAN, and not a 7 piece band. Mr. Benshimon can play music that caters to whatever your taste is, and he runs the show amazingly. I had him play at my wedding and now I can't stop recommending him to all of my friends. The people who attended my wedding are already hiring him out for their!

Cho-sen Island, on Central Avenue is Lawrence, NY is a premier kosher eatery. Their Chinese food is out of this world. The ambiance there is very nice. It is a luxurious feeling place to sit and eat. The waiters always have a good suggestion of what to order. The staff in general is very accommodating. They are one of my favorite places to eat out.

If you want to get your hair cut, and you are willing to be a model, you just have to go there on Wednesday evenings (sorry, I don't remember the exact hours) and wait to be seen. They will take you to the back, ask what you want etc. and then they will make an appointment with you. Occasionally, if they have too many of the same type of hair / haircut etc. they might have to make you wait a few months. But the best cut I ever got was when I went there. (The guy who cut my hair is still there - but he is no longer a student. For a great cut as for Wang)

This store is a quality store. What more can you ask for than a ton of fabrics for all kinds of uses. Ideas from the store owners. Expert cutting, and a great location. This store, surrounded by many other fabric stores, is the top one of it's kind. When you have a choice to go to so many others, and you choose this one, it is obvious what you think of it. Are you in to sewing? If yes, run, don't walk but run over to Mendel Goldbergs. They are the best place to help you.

J & R sells many different electronic items. They have many hard to find items as well, and are in a good location to get to using any public transportation. Furthermore they have a website (that I'll probably review another day because it is an entirely different entity) on which you can buy many of their items. Their prices are really not too bad. The only thing to be careful of is their return policy. It really is lousy. You might get stuck for a lot of money - and the best they will do is give you a store credit. Watch out for this.
