When I was searching for a bedroom set I went all over the place. Before I finally decided on unfinished wood from an unfinished wood store, I checked out Raymour and Flanigan. I went in and I could not find anything that was above gross in style. It was all just really ugly... I can't even describe it. Many of their pieces were huge and would take up an entire room. They just about all had really bad lines.
Although their prices were cheap, I didn't want any of what they had. I would recommend you go and see some place else for your furniture.

River Station is really unique because they have a deck that most of their dining takes place on. This deck has a very pretty and unobstructed view of the Hudson River. They also have a dining room and a bar inside.

My family has been going here for about ten years. They have the best bagels that we can find in the area. They taste like authentic NYC bagels. They have lots of varieties, frequent coupons, and good decent prices.
Aside from bagels, they have flavored cream cheese, coffee, all types of drinks, as well as some stuff commonly found in bakeries. One of their best things is their crumb cakes, but they are only sold on Sundays.

I have frequented Bellizzi Jewelers in the past for watch and jewelery repairs. They have always done good quality work and done it with promptness. They often have coupons available in the local coupon books, which is a plus.
An interesting aspect of the store is that they have Estate/Consignment Jewelery. It's a great way to find something really unique.

I really like Frankie's Deli. They are one of the few places in the area which carries Boar's Head meat products, which I find to be the highest quality cold cuts. They also offer aside from Cold Cuts many other deli cooked products, as well as a full butcher in the back of the store. In recent years they have expanded and started to sell more gourmet products as well as offer more fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices.

The Hopewell Antique Center has been located across from Frankie's Deli for the past 10 years that I have lived in the area. They are sort of like an antique mall, with different dealers each organizing their own small section of the store.
There are three floors here, and the items very from the large to the small. The prices also range from low to high. Another great thing about this location is that they have a paperback exchange on their second floor, so you can find some good books at very decent prices there.

This library is really of good quality. They have a large children's room and it seems that they are continually getting a lot of new books in. There are possibly too many mass marketed books for my taste, but they do have a bit of a balance.
The inside of this library is beautiful, with all of it's marble flooring and decorations. Also, they have children's programming on Saturdays which is good and educational. A nice way to pass a Saturday afternoon.

I really enjoy going to this library. Despite the fact that it is in a small and cramped location, it is a really nice place to visit with good books. When you go to their new books section, they have books in all types of subjects.
They don't have a reading room, but there are tables and some magazines in the back. I have not seen it ever overly crowded. They do also have a children's room. They have a good selection of DVDs and the librarians at this location are always very nice.

I find that this library is geared more towards people who enjoy reading mass market paperbacks. It seems that whenever I go here to find books to check out, that is all that they ever have in their new books section.
They have expanded their space in the last 10 years, so that is definitely a positive however. Before there was not a reading room, but now there is.

I have gone here sporadically looking for very specific items in hopes of finding them. When I have gone here, I have been disappointed in the quality of this store.
It's essentially a really expensive junk store. I have had a hard time with finding any donated items of nice quality. This store is basically a dump for all of the Target items that they have not been able to sell discounted. I cannot tell you how many times I have seen a somewhat interesting item, picked it up off the shelf, and found it to be about 10 or $15 dollars because they say it has to be HALF of what Target was selling it for as full retail price. I once picked up an opened game of Cranium... and it was $10....
I really feel that this store compares more to a Big Lots or something... lots of retail rejects. The used items I see when I go in here are always very constant because they can never sell any of them, because their prices are so high. Also, any of the items that this store considers "Better" they put in a special corner in the front of the store and charge exceptionally high prices for those items.
