This place is expensive, so I would never do my grocery shopping here. But I do love to walk around the place, it's so peaceful and it's just fun to look at all the shops. Everytime I go, I have to get a Fat Witch brownie (this is probably the main reason I go to Chelsea Market) and recently I've come to love the cupcakes at Eleni's bakery (and sometimes they are 50% off!). This is a fun place to walk around, or get a some food at the salad bar, sit on a bench and chat, but I definately would not recommend buying groceries here.

I love the setup of this driving range; unlike other driving ranges that are mostly on the ground, where balls are sent flying over grass (how ordinary), Chelsea offers three tiers from which you can tee off. If you go all the way to the top, even when you mess up, it appears that your ball actually went somewhere. Also, there is the added pleasure of the illusion that your ball is going into the Hudson River. However, it is a little more expensive than most driving ranges (about $25 for 100 balls or so).

Batting cages, minature golf, and an arcade; this place is a kid-at-heart's dream come true. Minature golf is really fun, and although, I can't bat for the life of me (in fact I tend to duck when a ball is speeding towards me), but the experience in itself is awesome. My only complaint is that in the summer months, the minature golf set-up is surrounded by mosquitos, which sends me into a scratching frenzy for the rest of the night.

Although it's usually very crowded and it's not as nice as the Rockafellar center skating experience, Wollman's does have it's perks. Wollman's rink is one of the less expensive ice-skating rinks in the city. It's outdoors, unlike Chelsea's Sky rink, which is always a plus in my book. Plus, I used to come here all the time when I was younger, so this place brings back memories. A long, long time ago, Wollman's was a roller-skating rink in the summer months, and I really liked that. It's a shame they don't rent roller skates anymore. I wonder where one can go to get some decent rollerskating (not blading) in while in New York.

L'asso offers good pizza with fresh mozzarella at only two dollars a slice and that's a pretty good deal for New York City. However, the deal only pertains to the plain slices. The rest of their food is a bit more pricey, but their buffalo mozzarella pie is simply devine. I prefer Lombardi's, but this place lets you buy by the slice, which is always a plus. You can't always have a bunch of people with you to polish off an entire pie.

New Green Bo is always super-packed and you'd have to wait forever just to get seated, so I usually phone in my order (or order when I get there) and my order is done in no time. My New Green Bo staple foods include the pork chop over rice, the steamed pork dumplings, and the ma por tofu. I love the sauce and vegetables that come with your rice orders. New Green Bo has some of the best and cheapest Shanghainese food in Chinatown.

I initially tried Dim Sum Go Go because it was very different from other dim sum restaurants in Chinatown. However, I find that I didn't like the experience as much as I thought I would. The dim sum experience of my younger years just isn't the same when you can easily get it at 4pm, there are no pushcarts, and no one marks your check with a red stamp. Also, the dim sum is ridiculously overpriced, and the portions are not any bigger than other restaurants.

Whole Foods is located conveniently closed to my apartment, so I can venture out there whenever I have the time. However, I must say I usually walk around the Time Warner Center and then decide not to go to Whole Food because it is just so crowded. When I do go down those stairs, it is like I am trapped in an elevator full of people. Despite the long lines and the immense crowds, Whole Foods has some of the best prepared foods ever. Their parfaits are also excellent!

Ever since I was a little kid I've always loved Pearl River. They have the cutest little Asian bowls and chopsticks, plus they also had a toy section that I used to buy toys from occasionally. What I love most about Pearl River is the fact that they sell all things Asian, from lionheads for lion dances to Asian television dramas (though I don't think they have these anymore in Soho). They also have a large assortment of little decorations and traditional Asian clothing.

I've only recently discovered the wonder that is Jack's 99 Cent Store. I was looking for a makeup brush and I didn't want to get one from Sephora again because I was broke. My friend brought me to this wonderful place, where even a makeup brush only costs a dollar. This is seriously one of the biggest dollar stores I've ever seen. I haven't looked through all their inventory yet, but rest assured that I will. This store is amazing!
