I love Chelsea Piers; there is so much to do here. Whether you decided to use the driving range at the Golf Club, or go ice-skating at Sky Rink, or go bowling, or rent bikes/rollerblades and cruise around the neighborhood, or get in some batting practice, this is the place for you. It has a little of everything to suit your every need. These activities are a little more expensive here, but the convenience of not having to decide what you'd like to do until you actually get to your destination is worth the couple of bucks. So take the crosstown bus over to Chelsea Piers, it's worth it.

Manhattan Mall used to be full of stores, shoppers, and teenyboppers displaying their public affections. Now, it's kind of like a dead zone. Almost all the stores in it have closed to make room for offices and such. There are like three remaining clothing stores in the "mall," Charlotte Russe (kind of like Forever 21), Aeropostale, and Express. People rarely come here to shop anymore, and when they do stop in, it's probably because they just finished at Macy's across the street.

Fung Wah, which only goes to Boston, and other bus company of the likes, has gotten me to my necessary destinations more times than I can count. For the times I got really bored and wanted to go to Boston for a day (or 2) trip, Fung Wah got me there very cheaply. If you would like to go to Philadelphia or D.C. or basically anywhere with a Chinatown, these buses will get you there for under 20 dollars. Although, these buses are not as safe or clean or comfortable as a greyhound bus, if you wanna get there with enough money to enjoy your trip, Fung Wah is the way to go!

Gonzalez y Gonzalez isn't exactly what I would call a great restaurant, but their dishes are decently priced (on the cheaper side actually) for a New York Mexican place. I especially love that you get free chips and salsa when you are seated and when you run out...they refill it. I always like to try something new everytime I go, but mostly I get the tacos (either chicken or shrimp), the chimichangas, or the Pollo Gonzalez. For the appetizer, I always get the calamari. There is also a crab stuffed calamari that I've never tried. Let me know how it is.

Going to Dylan's candy shop is kind of like going to the Disneyland of candystores; it's really the magical experience that keeps you coming back for more. Definately not a place to go in search of economically priced candy; you can get cheaper candy by the pound just about anywhere in the city. With old school candies like Charleston Chews and Sugar Daddies, and a couple of unique-looking PEZ dispensers on display, Dylan's is the perfect place to window shop. Plus, on holidays or when a specific movie comes out, Dylan's decorates to the tee. I loved going when Willy Wonka was playing in the theaters because the whole shop was so cutely decorated.

This place is awesome if you are a peanut butter lover, which unfortunately I am not. I mean I thought I liked peanut butter; boy was I wrong, a person can only take so much of it. I usually get the sampler because I didn't want anything with a lot of peanut butter in it, but wanted to try their flavors. You get carrots, celery, toast, and stuff of the sort to dip into their many flavors of peanut butter: white chocolate, dark chocolate, cinnamon raisin, etc. This place is pretty pricey for a plain pb&j sandwich, so try something special when you are here, unless you're really craving that pb&j.

Wo Hop is relatively inexpensive for a Chinese restaurant; I think it's one of the cheaper restaurants in Chinatown. However, I think they do skimp on the quality of their food a little. I always come here for walnut shrimp with my friends when we don't wanna pay more than 20 dollars for a dish, but I have never had dinner with my family here. Good enough for dinning with a friend, but if you are having dinner with relatives, try somewhere else better.

Cheesecake Factory does indeed have good cheesecake, just as its name implies. However, the food is just horrible. Sadly for me, it's my friend's favorite restaurant, and thus, I am forced to come here at least 3 times a year. I have discovered that it doesn't really matter what I order, because it is never good. The pasta horrific, I even think Olive Garden has better pasta. Their pork tenderloin is dry. I leave dissatified with everything but my cocktails and my desserts every time.

Eileen's makes the most amazing cheesecakes, it's not too creamy and heavy, but instead tastes fluffy and light. It's almost deceiving since you are probably consuming 2000 calories from a single slice. I prefer Junior's, but Eileen's is what my family mostly gets. The pineapple cheesecake was surprisingly good, but I like the strawberry and the plain ones the most.

I used to get cheesecake from Junior's all the time, back in my Brooklyn Tech days, but now I find that I don't actually have time to go into Brooklyn just to get the cheesecake. Sometimes though, my friend gets a craving for a pastrami and muenster cheese sandwich from one of the deli's around the area and I want Junior's, and in those instances, we drive into Brooklyn just to get some. Oh, how I miss the convenience of my old stop at Junior's on the way home.
Also, I don't know if anyone actually goes to Junior's to eat actual food because it seems as if most people just go for their famous cheesecake. Their diner food is pretty decent, although it isn't anything special.
