Everyone in New York knows the only team worth rooting for is the Yankees; they are the only team that actually wins. I'm not a sports fan by any means and I don't go crazy during baseball season, but it's always good to attend at least one Yankees game in your lifetime. The drinks, the food, the seats, basically everything is expensive here, so be warned. But how can you not go to support the Yankees when they have Jeter, ARod, Rivera, Posada, and Godzilla all on the same team. Go Yankees!

I don't go to Applebee's often when I am in the city; Usually when I go to an Applebee's in the city, it's the either the one in Times Square by the AMC theater, or this one by the Battery Park theater. What's cool is that you can order your tickets at Applebee's (I don't actually know if you can do this anymore) after your meal, so you don't have to wait in line when you walk over to the theater afterwards. I prefer Applebee's by college campuses because during happy hour, all drinks are $1 off and all the appetizers are half off. What a deal.

why get a cheap dirty hot dog from a street vendor for 2 dollars when you can get one for much cheaper at a Papaya store (Mike's, Gray's, Dog, etc.)? It's only $2.75 (or it was the last time I checked) for the combo, 2 hot dogs and a drink. I don't even like hot dogs, but I find myself getting hot dogs from Mike's every now and then. There isn't anywhere to sit in the store, but you can stand against the and rest your plate on the bar. The drinks are not the best, but you should probably stick to the pina colada or the papaya drinks.

I love Sigerson Morrison flats because some of them are so pretty and they make such a bold statement. If you are looking for trendy brand-name shoes that aren't your typical Jimmy Choos, Manolos, or Diors, come check Sigerson Morrison out. Plus, they have a big sale once a year, and some of the stuff becomes fairly affordable, if not on the cheap side for the quality you are getting.

This travel accessories store has it all and in funky colors and cute shapes. I first heard of Flight 001 because it was featured in Lucky magazine and I really needed a Passport protector, so I went to Greenwich to check the store out. When the have sales, their stuff is reasonably priced; but at retail, the stuff is a little on the expensive side. Their goods are just so stylist and cool, like the left-and-right shoe bags, brightly colored luggage tags, travel games, and mile-high kits. Be sure to check this place out before going on your next vacation.

Monster sushi is a pretty good Japanese restaurant and the decorative plates are very cute (featuring the fish from the logo). The rolls here are regularly priced, I wouldn't say it was expensive, but it's definitely not cheap. The nice thing about this place is that their rolls are massive in size; the dragon and spider rolls are huge, running almost 2.5 inches in diameter. If you do go, you must try the "Monster" roll (it's got eel & shrimp in it), it's so good.

I've love this place since it first openned several years ago because the dumplings are just so delicious. I never eat there because there is nowhere to sit and the service isn't always stellar since the people there don't speak English. However, I keep going back because these little pork-stuffed delights are just so tasty. I don't know what it is about those dumplings, but the balsamic vinegar with ginger sauce makes it that much better tasting. Beware if you are on a diet, this is temptation at its worst!

This store is amazing; it has every type of paper you could imagine and all the art supplies necessary to make your own invitations, cards, scrapbook, etc. They also have cute stuff from Kate Spade, Juicy Couture, and other brand names. Their hand-made cards are so interesting and adorable. This is the store for anyone looking for nice stationary, great photo albums, or cute invitations; However, be warned that Kate's Paperie runs a bit on the expensive side.
