Ballard Health Center is next to KFC. That's wierd. Everything else about this sweet pyramid shaped place is simple, nurturing, and down-to-earth.
When you walk in the door and feel the fire from the fireplace and see the smallish sitting/waiting room, you can see how nice it is to be a part of a real community that is focussed on health. People are friendly, appointments are usually easy to get (after work hours too!) and I've had wonderful massages there from relaxation to deep tissue to recover from an accident. The prices are reasonable ($65/hour).
Anytime you get a massage treatment, you get a trip to the whirlpool and a shower to leave the rest of your day behind *before* you lay on the table!
