Golden Garden is a great park to go. Mostly I go there to enjoy the sun on the beach. It is relaxing. Golden Garden is also a great place to go crabbing. My friends and I went there quite a few times last summer and had pretty good catch. It is simply a nice beach park that is so close.

I love staples in general for one reason. I have faith in them that they provide high quality costumer services. I am sure that I buy a product at its best price as staples assure me that by guarantee price match. I've done price match a few times with them and never a problem. Such is not always true with circuit city as I heard that other people's request has been rejected due to different reasons circuit city claim.

I stayed in downtown days inn while I was in San Diego for a conference. I've never stayed in another days inn before, so I can not say this one is better or worse compare to the others. But I definitely had a higher expectation. The days inn in downtown San Diego is a rather old building and locate in a rather remote part of the downtown. Not many restaurants or pubs around which makes the area quite at night. I tended to speed up while I was walking back at night as it is too quite and made me feel a little uncomfortable. The hotel itself is just a ok place, not so impressive. Overall, I might not choose to stay there again.

I love 'China buffet', the restaurant. As the name suggests, they offer china buffet. I don't exactly know about the price, between $10 to $20 per person maybe, as for the several times I've been there, my friends paid the bill. The buffet there has a variety of Chinese food and they are absolutely delicious. In my opinion, it is a high quality buffet for the price. Due to its popularity, it is always full at dinner time and there is usually a long line waiting at the door. So go there early, if you want to try it out someday.

I lived in Westwood Apt. (4327 8th Ave) for a year. It is a overall ok place to live if you are on a budget. It is near the bus lines, 66,71,72,73 etc. which all go downtown and it is close to the UW, within walking distance. Their rent was $850 for a three bedroom apartment and $800 for a two bedroom apartment when I lived there. I am sure the rent has went up given the fact rents go up every year. The rooms are small, barely fit a twin size bed, a desk, chair and s book self. I didn't have much furniture anyway. The major problem to me was the ants. They come for sweets and whenever I left something sweet unsealed, I found a pile of red ants around it which is so nasty. The manager killed the ants for us upon our request. But they come back after about half a year.

Ranch 99 is a nice Asian grocery store. It is a big grocery store with a variety of goods that fits all my needs, fresh vegetables, meat, fish, frozen foods, convenient foods and all oriental spices. The goods are well organized and labeled compared to most of the small stores in China town. Price is higher than what you expect in China town but a lot lower than other Asian stores such as Uwajimaya. The fresh vegetables are not as fresh though.

The university book store on the Ave (university way) is a pretty neat book store. Other than all the expensive textbooks, they also carry stationaries and art supplies. They have a husky gift shop on the first level as well as a clinique counter. The husky gift shop is relatively expensive in my opinion but the gifts seems to be delicate. I like shopping in there although I don't necessarily buy things there often.

I love bubble tea (milk tea) very very much, either a hot bubble tea in the winter or a cooling refreshing bubble tea in the summer. Being around the U district for a while, I've tried out almost all the bubble tea places on the Ave (University Way). The price for a cup of bubble tea (maybe 24 oz?) seems to be the same everywhere, around $3, but the place with the best taste is definitely the one at the corner of University Way & 45th St., called Gossip. Their bubble tea is tasty (not too sweet with great flavor) and their tapioca in the drink is chewable. Personaly, I prefer to have either their rose milk tea or plain milk tea with tapioca. Other flavors that they offer such as coconut, banana, mango etc. are too sweet and mask the original tea flavor that I like.

I love the Tirumisu in Whole food market at 64th St. & Roosevelt Way. It is now the only place where I go and buy my Tirumisu. They've got different sized Tirumisu with them and they are fresh. The Tirumisu there are totally different from those that are fridged or frozen as could be found in Costco. Well, the price is also higher, about $25 for the biggest sized ones which is about double the price of that sold in Costco. But, in my opinion, it worth the price.

Try sleep country in 12558-A Totem Lake Blvd. It is a little bit far but the sales person there is very friendly and helpful. They carry with them a fairly large selection of matresses with a wide price range. The sales person who helped me out was knowledgable and give me great recommendations. So I would say take a look there.
