I came across this florist when I visited the Rowlett library. They have been in business forever! They have done a couple of arrangements for me and have made great suggestions when I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted. Although their prices are a bit high for such a small "mom and pop" type store, I would still recommend them to anyone looking for expertise in what they do.

I came across Design Faire one day when I was picking up Dicky's BBQ (right next door). It is a great "girlie" gift boutique filled with home accessories, kitchen accessories, stationery, cards, floral, candles, and even coffee by the pound! No matter how long I browse I always seem to find something new that I missed! My favorite time of year there is Christmas because they have a beautiful and unique selection of Christmas tree ornaments and very reasonable prices. Actually, most of their products are reasonably priced. I wish they faced State Hwy 66 instead of Rowlett Rd so they would get more traffic! The store is never busy when I go in. The best thing is they gift wrap for FREE and they use the most beautiful papers and ribbons. If you are buying a gift make sure you use this service because the presentation is amazing.

If you live in Rowlett you will always find a coupon in your mailbox from Lone Star for $15 oil changes. It's so worth it. They are a very small establishment but they do very good work at a great price. They open very early so it's easy to stop in on your way to work to get your oil changed. The people that work there are very friendly. I will definitely continue to take my autos there and would recommend the place in a heartbeat.

A gift to Rowlett! It's so nice to have this nursery close by and not have to give in to the "big box" nurserys (i.e. Home Depot) with poor service. Covington's has the most knowledgeable staff I've ever seen. They have given us accurate advice on everything from trees to annuals. They have a great landscape service as well. We used them for our backyard and now we have our own tropical getaway! The prices might be more than normal retail nurserys but you can't get the specialized customer service like you can at Covington's any where else. Plus, they have a "1/2 price" sheds that contains hundreds of trees, shrubs, plants, and flowers. We have found SO many great deals. I highly, highly recommend them and we hope they stay in business for a VERY long time.

Chef Chen has the best Chinese food in Rowlett. Although they are little pricer than others around, the food is always made fresh when you order and the portions are big enough to share AND have leftovers the next day! The menu is large with some specialized seafood dishes thrown in. Their egg rolls are very flavorful (not the normal cabbage stuffed and nothing else you get other places). Our favorite appetizer is the Crab Ragoons. My favorite item off the menu is the Shrimp Lo Mein and the Sesame Chicken. Great portions of their soup as well and their Hot and Sour is fantastic!! Highly recommended. They also deliver which is great!

Cici's caters more towards families because you can eat as much pizza as you want for around $5 a person. The assortment is fantastic and they always feature a "pizza of the month" on the buffet. They also have one pasta dish (which my husband loves) as well as 3-4 desserts including this very good apple dessert pizza. You can order fountain drinks or tea but no alcohol is served. They have a couple of TV's (one big screen) but normally some type of cartoon or kid's show is playing. They have a small arcade area as well. The work staff is always friendly and they make a point to say "welcome to Cici's" and "Thank You" when you arrive/leave. Good pizza for what you pay.

We ate here while watching the last Mike Tyson fight. We got a booth with a private TV and it was a great time. We ordered dinner and it was surprisingly very good! My grilled chicken was moist and very flavorful. My husband got a burger and thought it was very good as well. The service was great even though the place was PACKED. The only drawback for us was the smoke since people were smoking at the bar. Overall, a good place to have a drink and watch a game. They have TV's mounted all the way around the place so every table or booth has a great view.

Paulio's pizza is such a great addition to Rowlett. Their pizza is very "NY style" with thin, crispy crust baked in a fire oven. They have a variety of already designed pizzas or you can create your own. Their prices are very, very reasonable. We can get a three-topping medium pizza for under $10 and it's better than ANY delivery pizza. They also have salads (although a little pricey), pastas (haven't tried them yet) and desserts (they are okay, nothing to brag about). The best thing about Paulio's is it's "BYOB" and they provide wine glasses and corkscrews. The service is wonderful and the manager is a doll.

We go to Kyoto at least once a month. We normally sit in the dining room (if you want a quieter experience) but you have to eat at the hibachi grill at least once to get the fun experience! The bento boxes are our favorites and come with a LOT of food. You don't go away hungry. Our favorite item off the menu is the Orange Chicken--excellent flavor and a HUGE portion worth splitting. The service is always great and I love the warm towels in the beginning! We normally order one sushi roll as an appetizer and we've yet to have a bad one. All around, a great addition to Rowlett!

My husband and I ate at Pancho & Lefty's when it first opened and it was SO bad! The floor was absolutely disgusting---very, very dirty. The table was sticky. The service was fine. Not bad but nothing above average. The food was very greasy and they use crumbled meat for everything. The cheese sauce was ballpark nacho sauce AT BEST. It always amazes me every time I drive by how busy they are! I think a lot of people don't realize what good Mexican food really tastes like!
