You can demo rackets for free at Avanti Sports. There's 2 locations: one in Seattle and one in Redmond. They have a great selection. They're pretty relax about letting you keep it for a little longer. Keep trying different rackets until you find the one you like. Avanti is not the cheapest place to buy but it's a great place for selection and expert advice.
Once you find the one you like, try ebay. It's a little difficult getting the right racket with the perfect grip size but people get amazing deals there. I know someone who got 2 volkl catapults 1 for 70 bucks! The right racket makes a huge difference in your game and luckily how much you like the racket is not proportional to the cost.
