If you love Wonton and Congee this is the place to go! For $6 you can get a very good bowl of wonton noodle soup. For $5 you can get a good bowl of congee. My favorite--Sui Kau with Beef Brisket rice noodle. Did I forget they have pretty tasty side orders such as steamed liver with soy sauce? Yum...definitely one of the more authentic noodle house in the ID! A must go. A warning though, try not to go during lunch hour, it's madness! The lunch rush starts at noon, I suggest going there by 11:30 to beat the crowd. If you dont' mind sharing table with strangers (because of how crowded it gets), I highly recommend it!

If you've never been to Vietnamese town in the ID, you should explore it. Tamrind Tree is a Vietnamese Restaurant. The place is newly renovated in the past year with warm color paints and decorated with bamboos. If you're looking for a good, cheap, cute place to go on a date, this is it. You should order start with the spring rolls and the mango salad for an appetizer. For the main course, I recommend the 7-beef course. This entree serves two and it comes with 7 different dishes made with beef. The only downside with this place is service can tend to be very slow, so plan on being there for awhile, especially during lunch and dinner rush hour! For dessert, try their coconut jello dessert. It comes in a real whole coconut!

Okay, I've been to many fine dining places, and I must say Mistral is one of my fav in Seattle. The owner was totally nice and he even gave us free dessert wine to try! The food, great! They have a prix-fix menu and plan on spending on average $100/person w/o wine. The experience was good though. Unlike some of the fine dining place, the enviornment is not as snooty, rather, friendly. It's not a very dimly lit place either, which means that friends can enjoy a nice dinner and have casual conversation w/o any dating pressures! All in all, a must go!

I'm a pretty big eater and I like to try out new places. After hearing a friend's of mine praised about Salumi (located on 3rd ave in Pioneer Square) the sandwhiches at this place and how they make their own cured meat, I was curious. I tried to go there for the past few times but every time I've failed. Finally, today, I made it. We go there to avoid the line by 11:40, apparently we should be there by 11am! The line was inside out! We waited for half an hour and finally got to order. The original plan was to eat there, but they only had 4 tables and can only seat 10-15 people. Anyhow, I ordered the Grilled Lamb sandwhich. The place is cute and feels very New York Delish. But the half an hour wait and was not worth the grilled lamb sandwhich. It was good, but not great! I was expecting greatness! I guess that's what happens when someone hypes up something. The next time I go I will definitely call ahead and preorder (you don't have to wait in line if you phoned in earlier!). If you really want to try the place, I suggest you get there by 11am, call in before or go after the lunch rush. Oh yeah, they're closed on Mondays.
