I've always bought paint from Home Depot. The price is pretty reasonable ($20/gallon), and the brand I really like and use is Behr.

I love the pizzas here! The crust is thin and the taste is light and flavorful. They also have great salad as well. My favorite is the Napolean salad, it has salami, lettuce, and garbanzo beans.

Pho Nuong is a Vietnamese restaurant specializing in exotic meats and traditional dishes that you wouldn't be able to find at any other Vietnamese restaurants.
This place is only open for dinner, and it gets pretty crowded, but the wait is never long. The decor is not classy, more of a rain forest theme. The walls are painted with green bamboos and trees all over. You will definitely feel like you're in some kind of forest.
I've been here several times and each time I was impressed with the food they make. The flavors of the dishes are very intense. I ordered the grilled plate with venison, it comes with rice papers, vermicelli noodles, and tons of fresh vegetables. You wrap all that stuff and dip it in the fish sauce, or if you don't mind the strong fish flavor, ask for the mam nem. My favorite dish is their stuffed calamari and their fried crab! Yummy!! It's a bit pricey, but you are paying for exotic meats and the experience of it. I highly recommend this place if you're interested in trying different food.

If you love canh chua (Vietnamese hot and sour soup), Ca Kho To (this dish usually accompany the hot and sour soup), and rau muon xao toi (ung choi with garlic), definitely check out Lemon Grass. They have two location in Seattle, one on 12th (by Seattle University) and one on Jackson. Although the place is not as glamorous as Tamarind nor do they have fancy mixed drinks, it does have it's own charm and their food is more authentic. The chef was hired from Vietnam, so the food is more homely. Try going there for dinner, they also have a pretty extensive lunch menu. My favorite lunch dish is the five spice chicken (ga ngu vi huong).

I've been to this restaurant at least 4 times, and each time I've been pretty pleased with the service and food. I love their mango/avocado salad with fresh crab meat drizzled with a vinegret. As for their main courses, try their Kobe beef, it's so soft, you can cut it with a fork! Totally good! Their Salmon is always a good and safe choice too.
If you really want to shower your date with extra attention on that special anniversay day or even planning a proposal, Canlis has a private dining room for you to book. It comes with your own waiter and your own music system. You can enjoy your dinner with your significant other w/o any interuptions or background noises! Best of all, in your private room, there is a telescope for you to look at the stars or the city. Great view and highly recommended if you're planning something special.

The Scene--The overall vibe is dark and upscale minus the steep prices. The bar is small but the crowd is pretty laid back.
The Appetizers are often the best things on a menu, and serves nothing but, with each plate large enough to share with a group of four. Some of the dishes I sampled are: Curried potatoes pack a peppery punch. Plump grilled sardines shimmer in Portuguese seasoning, while steak with Japanese radish make an unusual but satisfying pair. Of the crispy flatbreads, the prosciutto and bechamel is a favorite. Don't forget to try the mussels! And here's the topper: All dishes are affordably priced. And if you're a wine lover, this place has an extensive list of wines for you to try.

I just came back from lunch at Green Leaf. This was my second time eating there, I must say the food is pretty good. This place just opened up about a month ago and it's getting a lot of attention in the ID! The price is slightly cheaper than Tamarind Tree. They have an enourmous selection of dishes--even more than Tamarind Tree. The decor is cute and bamboo seems to be the theme of the place. The service is quick and good. Today I had the spicy beef soup (bun bo hue), I must say, next to Huong Binh's soup, their's is the pretty good. I definitely reccomend this place, especially if you like Tamaring Tree.

Did you ever think that you can find good food inside a gas station??? I've always thought that deli food at a gas station shouldn't go together. However, this place has Vietnamese sandwhiches for $1.50 and lunch combos for about $5. If you're on the go and want good food, or you're just on a budget, this is a good place to go to. They have good Vietnamese coffee, if you've never had it, and you love caffeine, you must try it. It's much stronger then the Starbucks coffee, but it's good!

My recent hunt for a new car was frustrating! I started off looking at a Mazda down in Renton, and the guy who showed me the car gave us the keys and let us test drove on our own so he can take a smoke break! That was weird. We then left Mazda and headed to Kirkland's Honda to check out the new civic. When we first entered, we weren't ready to buy (since we hadn't done our research on any of the Hondas except for the Mazdas), a sales person approached us and was giving us the sales pitch of how the Civic won the Motor Trend of the year. We didn't cared much, we were just looking. We decided to test drive it anyhow, after test driving it, the guy was really trying to sell it to us! I mean, he even brought the manager down to work with us on the price! The listing price was like $20,000, we told him if they can give it to us for $16,500 we will take it right away w/o doing any consumer research. We were quite amused how hard they tried to keep us. The manager then counter offered us with $17,100! That's like $200 below invoice! The truth was we didn't want to buy b/c we didn't do any research. We told them that we would do research and will come back if we decide to buy. Bare with me, this is a long story to tell. We went home, got on the net and did some research, we then called Auburn Honda, and told them what Kirkland was offering us (in an attempt to get a lower price). They told us they can't discuss pricings unless we came down. We told them we would only come down if they could at least match and they said they're sure they can work something out. Well, when we got there, the care they showed us and said they were going to beat or match was a manual! The quote we got was for an automatic at Kirkland! The sales guy was like, "I'm sorry, but I thought you guys were talking about the manual, that's why I can afford to beat the price." We were like fine, we're going to take off, another sales person took over and was like, let us work with you and sell this car to you. To make the story short, we sat there for an hour and was ready to buy as long as they agreed with $17,100 with 4.9% financing. The sales guy orally agreed and he went back to his manager to have him sign off. Well, little be hold, the came back and was like we can't do it because it's impossible for the car to be that low with al l the accessories it has in it (which is only the mudflaps, valued at $180). He said he will sell it if we paid $17,100 plus the $180 (mudflap price) and at 4.9%. We were so pissed! We sat there for an hour! Did the financing papers and everything and he came out and basically took back the initial offer! By this time, we were feeling really duped and had a sour taste. We basically gave them a lecture and left. The manager didn't even come out, the sales person basically said we lied b/c there is no way a dealer would give such a low offer. The next day we went back to Kirkland and was ready to buy at the $17,100. We came to see the manager, and they were all super busy. He stuck us with such an idiot! This guy was totally monotone and didn't even tried hard to sell us the car. He said the car can't be sold for $17,100 and the color we wanted is not in stock. We would have to wait for 10 days for it to come in. We asked about the sister's dealre (Bellevue), and the sales person said Bellevue didn't have the colors we wanted either. Luckily, my smart friend called Bellevue and they said they had 2 of each color we wanted, (Galaxy Grey or Blue). He basically lied to us! We then just left and said no thanks. We drove to Bellevue and met Cal, the greatest sales person ever! We told him what we've been through and we're tired of negotiating, either beat it of match it and we'll take it. He was like okay, he took it back to his manager and got us the deal in 5 minutes! Great guy! And it was even at 4.9% financing! Not haggling, such a great feeling! The financing was quick and the service was exceptional! I definitely would reccomend going there to buy a car and no where else! Defintiely not Hinshaw Honda (Auburn) or Kirkland!! Moral of the story here is if you're a salesperson, be honest and let the buyer decide to buy. We did get a great deal though, the average person pays $17,300 for the car! Phew...finally done!

I was at Rover's for my bday dinner with my boyfriend. For the two of us, we spent about $400 excluding tips! We had an 8 course meal. The dinner was about 4 hours long, each meal came about 20 minutes apart. The food was good, but I expected great for the price I paid. My favorite was the seared foie gra, which accompanied about 5 of the 8 dishes we had. By the 3 dish, we were pretty sick of the foie gra. The decor, very old european kind of feeling. Everybody there was dressed up, all the men were in suits. In short, it was a good meal but way too expensive.
