Waterloo Icehouse is one of my favorite places to get a burger. Their menu has several different choices of burgers and I love their avocado burger with bacon. It is juicy, flavorful and all of the flavors mesh very well together. They have tons of beers on tap and it is super easy to fit one with your burger of choice. This is a great restaurant.

Chili’s is a great place to meet up with friends for dinner. There is a large selection of items on the menu in all price ranges and I love their appetizers. They have a sampler of their appetizers which sometimes I eat as a meal by itself. The only problem with Chili’s is that they are always busy on Friday and Saturday nights so there is often a long wait.

The Olive Garden is a decent Italian restaurant. It is not the best place to get authentic Italian food, but serves the purpose for comforting food. Their salads are good, but their breadsticks have changed for the worse recently. I do love their Mango sangria which surprised me when I first tried it. Their food is mediocre and they are always strangely busy on the weekends.

Saconne’s Pizza is not a typical fast food pizza joint. Their pizzas are flavorful, good sized, and have plenty of toppings to choose from. My only complaint is that they are much more expensive than most other take out places. They do have a neat program where after a certain number of pizzas the next one is free. A good variety to the usual pizza places.

Chuy’s is one of the famous Tex-Mex restaurants in Austin, and I’m honestly not sure why. I’ve been there several times and have never been all that impressed. The food has been somewhat good but nothing special. Their enchiladas were pretty good, but I’ve had better at places that are never this busy. Try it out for yourself, but I am not sure what all the fuss is about for Chuy’s.

I absolutely love Carabba’s! The have this wonderful dipping bread with olive oil and spices and herbs that beats chips and salsa any day. Their pasta Weesie is one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. There is fettucini with the best alfredo sauce ever topped with shrimp and tons and tons of garlic. The service varies, I have had wonderful servers and one who was absolutely terrible. A great restaurant for Italian food.

I love the pancakes at IHOP, although just the plain ones, not the ones topped with strange items. The service at IHOP varies a great deal but you can’t beat them for late night studying or just hanging out with friends at 2 or 3 in the morning. IHOP does have a great variety of food items, whether breakfast food or not.

I love Starbucks. Especially their mocha frappucinos. My only complaint comes from my wallet, as it gets expensive very quickly if you go here often. Their breakfast food items are good and in certain locations there are hot breakfast items as well. Starbucks is great for a quick pick me up in the morning.

I really do not see why people shop at Randall’s. Every time I have been in there their prices are substantially higher than most other grocery stores, especially without their card. They do generally have fresh produce and meat, but not any better than the other stores in the area, so I really do not see why people go there.

Walgreens is not usually my first choice of pharmacy. However, when it is late at night or a holiday they are the only places open. I find that since they are so busy I really feel like just a number rather than a customer when I am here. Their Pharmacists seem nice, but you only get to speak with them for about 1 minute. They are a good place to pick up things at odd hours, but I prefer a smaller atmosphere.
