Bongo BBQ is one of those places where you can get relatively good food in a really relaxed atmosphere. They also have a drive through drink store where you can buy just about anything without even getting out of your car. Their BBQ is far from the best I have ever had but the atmosphere is cool.

The Clay Pit has very good Indian food and good prices for lunch. Their menu looks somewhat expensive for dinner but I’m sure I’ll try it sometime. Their chicken is excellent and the blend of spices which is in most of their food is very flavorful although many of the dished turn out rather spicy. A great restaurant for lunch downtown.

Carmello’s is by far my favorite restaurant in Austin. The atmosphere is phenomenal and there is often an accordianist during dinner. The lighting is dim but not dark and then food is out of this world. Their chicken parmesean is by far the best I have ever had. I love going here for special nights out because I know it will be wonderful.

The décor at the restaurant is very bare. I would not recommed this retaurant if you like Italian food.

Their sandwiches are made fresh while you wait and are always tasty. They also deliver to a somewhat limited campus area which makes late night studying better.

Their prices are very reasonable and the delivery is free. Their cookies are delicious and they have about 12 different flavors and items you can choose from.

Domino’s is one of the closest pizza places near UT. They do deliver and some of their specials make feeding a large group of people inexpensive. I do not like their pizza as much as some other places, but it is far from bad. Their crusts are unique, I do not think I’ve had anything like their “poppable” crust.

Papa John’s is my favorite take out or delivery pizza place. I’m not sure what exactly it is but I love their pizza. Their cheeses are different than anywhere else and I love their garlic butter dipping sauce. I usually don’t have them deliver and the only bad thing is that occasionally they lose orders when you order online rather than call the order in. A great pizza.
