Every time I walk into this Radio Shack, the employees practically jump on me asking if they can help me. I'm all for customer service, but they have got to realize at some point that they are turning people off. When I say that I don't need help - that is what I mean. Don't come hover over me as I select my batteries and ask if I've found everything ok. And, don't try to sell me something else when I'm check out at the counter! These people MUST work on commission - and they certainly don't try to hide it!

I've always used Pemberton Farms for buying my flowers to plant in planters and windowboxes. They have beautifully geown flowers, a nice variety, and are helpful in letting you know how to care for them. You'd get better prices at Home Depot but the quality is so much better at Pemberton. It can get very crowded on the weekends, making it hard to navigate the aisles with your wagon - but it's a great place. Check it out!

My husband and I received a gift certificate to dine at L'Espalier as a wedding gift from a good friend. We had never been before, but had always head it is the best fine dining in Boston. We used the gift certificate on our first anniversary - and it was an amazing dining experience. We were waited on hand and foot. Some of the fancy service got a little distracting - and it did feel like someone was constantly at our table - but that's all part of the experience! It was a little uneasy for us, since we'd never dined at this type of restaurant, but we pulled it off without too many faux-pas. We're glad to say that we have dined at L'espalier - but we don't think we'll ever afford to go back on our own dime! The food was delicious - and the dessert was simply to die for. They even write "Happy Anniversary" in chocolate on our dessert plates. Very nice touch.

People wouldn't expect that a picky eater would love Ethiopian food - or would have even tried it. Well, I am said picky eater - and I love this place! The food is hard to discribe - but it's sort of a mix between Indian and middle eastern, and most dishes are like a thick stew that gets placed on a large spongy, moist pancake type bread. You then break of bits of the bread and scoop up your food to eat it. You almost pinch the food using your bread in your fingers. Some dishes are very spicy and others are just very flavorful. Meat eaters and vegetarians will both find items they life. Try ethiopian beer too - it's surprisingly good!

For years I'd heard from friends on the west coast that Costco was 100x better than any BJ's or Sam's Club - now that we finally have them on the East coast, I have to agree with them. Granted, it really makes the most sense if you need all your items in bulk - but we're only a family of two and I buy all my meats there for far less than the local grocery stores. I also buy some juices and bread. I always end up buying a book there b/c they have great titles at great prices. And of course it's a great place for household items like paper products, cleaning supplies and toiletries too!

Michael's is a great store to find almost anything you need for crafting. They have supplies for scrapbooking, painting, beading, knitting, sewing, candy making, baking, fine art, silk flowers, kids crafts, school projects, holiday items - and a full service framing shop in the back. They have great sales all the time, and often have a 40-50% off coupon in the local papers.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in CA a few years ago. We stumbled across Taylor's in it's Napa valley location and ate there 3 times in 3 days. LOVED IT. We were sad to leave it behind as we drove on towards San Francisco. So imagine our delight as we stumbled upon the newly opened Taylor's in the Ferry Bldg in S.F.! We ate there two more times - we loved it THAT much. Each time we sat enjoying our meal, we toyed with the idea of whether the place would be as popular in our hometown of Boston. We STILL talk about it to this day! Bring Taylor's to the east coast, please!

I've gone to the restaurant twice - only to meet friends who were going to be there - I never would go there on my own free will. Both times I've visited, I have been very hungry upon entering the restaurant, but within 2 minutes of being there I lose my appetite. I ordered a salad once, and it was brown lettuce, a few scraggly vegetables and was drowning in dressing. The other time I ordered spinach artichoke dip - thinking that it's nearly impossible to ruin that? Well, they did. It was a greasy slop with no taste at all. Gross! Stay far away from this place!

I have no idea why the crowds have not yet found Lino's - but I'm happy to have the place to myself! They have delicious and authentic Italian food - a very cute atmosphere, and good prices! And since it's never crowded, the service is excellent. One of my favorite things about Lino's is their house salad dressing - I don't know what is in it, but it is delicious. Once I really wanted a big dinner salad with some chicken in it. Even though this wasn't on the menu, they happily made it for me and it was great! I love sitting in the small side dining area with window tables... makes you feel like its your own private restaurant!

We find that the wait for a table is more bearable late on a weeknight (except Thurs). I love the sausage in fig sauce, and often find myself craving it! The mood is romantic, the service is great, and the waiters have fun. Definitely try ordering in Spanish - the waiters really enjoy that if you try! It's also a great place to celebrate a birthday - the waiters will all sing to you and bring you a big candle in a frog candleholder for you to blow out - all while blowing lots of bubbles around you! Such a hoot! Parking can be tough, and you should definitely mind the signs or else you will get a ticket. They strictly enforce parking in that neighborhood!
