Gorgeous handblown glass is everywhere you turn (be careful!) in this shop. They have a studio right there where you can watch the glass being blown through the window. Facinating to watch if you get the chance. The glass items make wonderful gifts, especially the christmas ornaments. The home accessories are very nice too, but the selection can sometimes be limited. They have a few great sales every year when you can get good deals!

Every image on the walls in the gallery is simply gorgeous - jumping out at you as though it was real-life. They have inexpensive posters, middle priced framed prints, right on up to very expensive digitally produced images on canvas! The staff is very helpful, and you can order any image in any size. The great thing is that they change the images around in the gallery quite often, so its fun to stop in and see what is new!

Roy is one of my favorite Newport shops! They carry beautiful table wares - including a beautiful line of Italian pewter and porcelain. It is the most gorgeous line of plates, platters, etc that you've ever seen - and it now comes in various colors that you can choose from. The prices aren't cheap, but these are things that you will not find carried in other stores! The owner is delightful and very helpful too. Stop in and take a look around - I'm sure you'll find something to fall in love with and take home!

Yesterday's is my favorite stand-by restaurant in Newport. It's a great place to go to escape the touristy crowds, but still have a nice meal at a reasonable price. They have a large menu, where anyone can find something they like. The service is really great - though I don't like the tables near the bar - they get too smoky! I love their chicken breast sandwich - probably my favorite item on the menu.

They take excellent care of you throughout the entire process. During your tasting appointment they give you a nice big slice of cake, along with little cups of the various fillings and flavorings so that you can decide what you like. Their artistic designs are beautiful, and their web site photo gallery makes it easy to research and choose! They deliver with care - not a mark on the frosting, the cake arrived in perfect shape!

This is THE place to come in Boston for art supplies for the true artist. They have just about any and every item for painting, drawing, mixed media, etc. In addition to their art supplies they also have a great selection of gift items like picture frames, albums, wrapping papers, and other novelties. In general, the prices are high, but most people are willing to pay for quality art supplies. The location is great, unless you want to go on a Red Sox game night - the proximity to Fenway makes that a little tricky!

Rudy's is just fine for those who want a good margarita and a decent meal. It's definitely not authentic mexican cuisine, but rather a east coast attempt at Tex-Mex. I do enjoy their tacos, their queso dip, and their various margaritas. They re-did the whole interior about 6 years ago and it's a pleasant atmopshere. The service is generally quick, but it can definitely be crowded an noisy on the weekends.

The Summer Shack is designed to make you feel just like you’re at an authentic clam shack somewhere on the Cape! It’s a very casual atmosphere, but the menu is SO much more than a clam shack. They have a huge array of raw bar options, lobsters, fish specials, non seafood items, etc. And it’s all led by the legendary Jasper White – a famous Boston chef! The service is great, and they do a wonderful job accommodating large parties – just call ahead!
