It's fun to browse and the employees let you take your time. The window shopping is great too because they always have an interesting selection of books in the window!

This store is a bit of a step up from a regular thrift store in that you can find a few glamorous things - like black tie tuxedos, formal dresses, fancy shoes, and all the accessories you could possibly need to accompany such an outfit. They also have some really well-maintained pretty cool furniture. It's always an interesting place to browse.

The locks are really cool. It's fascinating to watch boats go in and out of them. They are really active so it's likely you'll see boats going through. They have a windowed area so you can watch the salmon going through the fish ladder to get over the dam. When it's nice out, the locks can be quite a draw so be prepared for crowds.

The Heritage is good bar nestled in downtown Lenox. Its an old wooden house - not very large (and therefore expect it to be pretty packed on Friday and Saturday nights). They have darts, a pool table, and some arcade games. Its down to earth and has a relaxed atmosphere! A definite where-your-jeans type of place! But be aware they close earlier than most places (around 12:30am -1am - rather than 2am) - so you will be part of the crowd that moves from the Heritage to the Bulls Eye (in Lee) for more drinking!

This restaurant is by far the best in downtown Lenox. Its not snobby or exclusive like most of the other restaurants that linger around Main St. Its a comfortable, warm restaurant that serves incredible Mediterranean food (and no that does NOT just mean Italian - but Greek, Spanish, etc...) The staff goes above and beyond to make your night enjoyable - its a breath of clean air in these Berkshire Hills. Definitely try to Goat Cheese Salad to begin with (if it is still on the menu - Spigalinas changes their menu often...always reinventing new delicious menu items). They have a good size menu and offer lots of variety - it will by far please any meat-eater or plant-eater! Sip a spirit, drink some wine, and do your best to save some room for dessert!
Other tips: During the winter months they often close for a short time - definitely call ahead. In the summer they are open EVERY night - but only for dinner. And when the weather is just perfect, they have a great porch that you can settle into (and never want to leave!)
Its located off of Main St. in Lenox - right next door to the Mobile Station.

There aren't many parks around where you can get a seat for $10. The bleacher seats at Safeco aren't the best seats in the park but they're cheap and you get a beautiful unobstructed view of the game from center field! It's great if you ahve a group because the seating arrangements tend to be pretty flexible. Also, the seats that are a price level or two higher are still a great deal. Beer is expensive, as would be expensive, but there are tons of food choices, from Ivar's salmon dogs, to garlic fries, to pizza, to who knows what else. The park is well laid out so there are tons of clean bathrooms, and the food and drink vendors are evenly spaced throughout. Overall it's a wonderful experience to see a game at this field. Highly recommended.

The Space Needle is actually way shorter than you would expect if this is the first time you've seen it after hearing so much about it. It's super expensive to ride the elevator up to the top also, although it's a nice view if it's a clear day (if!!). The restaurant is super overpriced and serves terrible food. I wouldn't recommend eating there. I do love looking at the Space Needle from the various view points around the city, but getting too close to it just ruins it.

This theater has a huge screen which is great for action movies and for feeling like you are really there! It's a great experience that I believe was made possible by our favorite Seattle billionaire (ok it's a toss up) Paul A. It's in a good location too, close to downtown. Lines can be long though so get there early for popular shows!
