This diner is only about over a year old and right next to where I live in Midtown West. It is cleaner than most diners and the decor is also nicer than most diners. Serves typical diner food with quick service. Good place to visit for brunch/lunch if you live in the area and are feeling lazy to go far.

Go for the view, not for the food. The food was overpriced and mediocre during dinner time. The buffet lunch was slightly better but I didn't think there were all that many choices. If you want to enjoy the view and not pay all that money during dinner time, go for a drink instead! The drink prices are regular Manhattan prices.

Good jazz place but way too crowded and uncomfortable. Blue Note manages to get pretty famous artists. Must make reservation if you go on the weekends for the first two shows. Food is expensive and in my opinion subpar. I would pick other jazz bars over this one (for example Dizzy's). But if you have never been yet, it is worth at least one visit because it is so famous!

The Metropolitan Opera House puts on amazing operas for high prices. But if you are a student, you can get a great discount - $25 per ticket on weekday nights and $35 for weekends. These are orchestra seats which usually sell for between $100 - $200. You can purchase two tickets with one student ID. You must also have proof of age (must be under 29.) These are REALLY great seats. So if you have a student ID, go for it. (MetOpera in my opinion is much better than the City Opera.)

I went to Whym for lunch and loved my experience. The lunch menu is less expensive than the dinner menu so if you want to try this newish restaurant on 9th avenue, check it out for lunch. Some of us ordered salads and some ordered sandwiches. The salads seemed to be more tasty than the sandwiches. The space is comfortable and it was not too crowded when we visited during the weekday.

Convenient location in Times Square (good place to go before or after a movie if you can't think of anywhere else). The place is big so I don't think I've ever had to wait for a table. Serves huge margarita drinks which I think is the best part!! Food is not exactly cheap but it's decent. Always seems busy and lively.

I love this supermarket. Everything is so clean and organized although on the expensive side. But then a lot of supermarkets in New York City are expensive and not nearly as clean and organized as Whole Foods. I sometimes go for lunch as well. The checkout lines are usually long but they move very fast so it is almost as if there is no line.

I went to Disney World in Orlando for a four day vacation during my winter break and was sooo happy during my entire time there. (It was my first time at Disney World. I had only been to Disneyland.) Disney World has 4 theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and MGM. I spent one day in each theme park and was able to enjoy just about every ride I wanted to go on. Everything was so cute and everyone was so happy. I wanted to stay forever!

Whenever possible, I make my purchases at Duane Reade. A lot of Duane Reade stores are open 24/7. In my opinion the best part is that for every $100 you spend at the chain stores, you receive a $5 coupon good for your next purchase. There are even Chase atms in every store and sometimes DVD rental machines!

Po is a charming Italian restaurant in the West Village. The restaurant's six-course tasting menu priced at $45 has got to be one of the best deals in town. Food was just perfect when I visited and service was definitely above par. I wish they would expand so there would be more seating and more room for everyone! This is a must-try if you haven't been yet.
