I am not a surfer, but I still love to go to Ron Jon's. Yes, it has become a tourist institution, but it is a fun one to visit. It is amazing to see all of the surfing paraphanelia (I never knew how much stuff was out there!) Plus, you've got to love their shirts- the cartoon drawings on them are great. I can't say whether or not this is a good place for true surfers, but it is interesting.
