My husband and I went to Fleming's to celebrate a special occasion, and Fleming's suited perfectly. The service was wonderfully attentive and fast. It had a quiet and sophisticated atmosphere, and the food was great. I had the filet, which melted in my mouth. Accompanying it, the baked potato and salad were both fabulous. My husband had the ribeye, which was also perfectly cooked and seasoned. It's a bit expensive, but for the quality of food, it is well worth it.

Qdoba was so conveniently located near my office at Vanderbilt that I was always tempted to go there for lunch. Their quesadilla is lackluster, and the service was generally slow and unfriendly. The chips were often stale, and their salsa does not taste homemade. My office mate usually got their burrito, which she said was mediocre at best.

Ruth's Chris has just opened in Pasadena, and it is taking the city by storm. It's a great special occasion restaurant. It's pricey, but the quality is superb. The bar is fabulous, and its prices are not outrageous. The service was great, and the steaks are just unbelievable. My filet was so delicious, I could have cried! It just melted in my mouth, and the butter drizzled over the steaks is fabulous. Sharing the side items is a great idea. Our table of 5 ordered 4 sides and split them, and it was perfect. The bread pudding we had for dessert was great too. You definitely want to make reservations, especially since it's the new place in Pasadena, and take advantage of the valet parking too.

Dr. Tracy Bagwell is a miracle worker. I was skeptical about chiropractors in general, before my mother went to see him. But since she was headed for major back surgery, she had nothing to lose. It's been 15 years since then, and her back is in great shape. After I started having a lot of back problems, I went to him, and I couldn't have been more pleased. Not only is he incredibly nice and friendly, he is very caring about his patients and their well-being. He is very gentle and has an amazing ability to know exactly where it hurts and how to fix it. All of his office staff are wonderfully nice as well, and he has a lot of convenient appointment times.

Ken's Fast Foods is a Fayetteville legend, but if you want to go, you better be planning a weekday lunch, because they aren't open for dinner or on the weekends. They have great country ham sandwiches at breakfast, but their juicy hamburgers and thick steak fries are what they are known for. Prices are cheap, and the service is hometown friendly.

Cattleman's seems to have fallen off in quality lately. Traditionally, it's been my favorite place in Fayetteville, and the only place to get a good steak. Now I can't say that's the case. The last two times I was there, at least half the people in my party have had steaks not cooked the way they ordered. In fact, on New Years Eve, my mother had to send her steak back three times. Not only did the manager not offer her food for free, he never even apologized for the fact that her medium well steak was charred. On top of that, the service has been exceptionally slow the last two times we've gone there. This is a real disappointment, because prior to that, Cattleman's has always been a great steakhouse.

Cahoots is consistently good. The biggest problem is that in the winter, they tend to under-heat their building, so if you're going to be sitting near one of the glass block walls in the front, bundle up! Their homemade salsa is always great, and you can't go wrong with their salads. Another favorite is their chicken parmesan. The servers are very attentive and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. It definitely has the coolest atmosphere of any place in Fayetteville.

The Something Blue Shoppe has a great variety of bridal gowns, and their prices are quite reasonable. I would have chosen them to purchase my wedding dress, but I ended up going with a place that would be closer for me to travel to for my fittings. However, I did buy my wedding veil and tiara from the Something Blue Shoppe. The lady there spent a lot of time talking to me about what kind of veil I wanted (custom made) and helping me figure out what material and length would look best on me and to best compliment my dress. They also had a great selection of really beautiful tiaras, and everyone there was very friendly and helpful.

I used Madison Town and Country to order my wedding dress. After shopping around and going back to them several times, I ended up buying my dress from them. Everyone there is so nice and so friendly. They definitely know how to make a future bride feel like a princess. Not only did they have the best price on my Maggie Sottero gown that I found in the area, they also had the best price on alterations (done by their seamstress, not sent out). They did a wonderful job on my alterations and took a lot of time to show my bridesmaids how to lace me in the dress. Even better, every time I went in for a fitting, they would all tell me how beautiful I looked. That kind of sweet personality just can't be faked, and it was exactly what a jittery bride needed.

Rosie's has a great atmosphere, both at lunch and at dinner. There are often a lot of people waiting at dinner time, but the restaurant seats a lot of people, so the wait goes pretty quickly. They have great margaritas, and their servers tend to be a lot of fun. I love their chicken nachos - but don't order the large size! Even the small size is plenty for me to split with a girlfriend, and we'll both still be full. I highly recommend buying the queso dip for the complimentary chips.
