Service is prompt and attentive at this branch of Fed Ex Kinkos. If the employees cannot help me right away, they always greet me and let me know that they will be with me shortly. I have never used services other than shipping from here, but they are satisfactory in that department. The employees seem to enjoy their job, which is reflected in the level of service I receive.

This store is too small for it's own good. The BBB chain is my preferred store to purchase kitchen and bathroom goods/accessories at, but every time I walk into this store, I feel cramped. The aisles are extremely narrow and I always worry that my purse is going to knock into something that will go crashing to the ground and break into a million little pieces. Employees are always friendly and one even went so far as to get a cart for me, even though I had asked my husband to do so, but the employee overheard and promptly arrived with a cart. Bed Bath and Beyond sells high quality products at mostly affordable prices.

This particular Steak n Shake is just your average one. Bored teenagers working a job they don't really want to be at, which is reflected in the service. The food is good and will always be an artery-clogging favorite of mine. The half and half milkshakes are the best menu item – you can mix and match two flavors (with several to choose from), each filling half of the glass for a unique tasting milkshake. They've introduced a few new menu items (kicked up steakburgers) that I am looking forward to trying at some point in the future.

Books are a little bit on the pricy side at Borders – you can usually get the same book for less money at another bookstore. The DVDs and CDs are most definitely overpriced. The café food is overpriced, but almost worth it….however it falls just a tad short. I don't go to Borders to purchase things, but I enjoy going there to browse and thumb through a few books on a lazy Sunday afternoon. The ambience is nice and there are places to sit and read. However, those eating at the café are hard-pressed to find a place to sit because there are not enough reading benches throughout the store so everyone sits at the café tables. The food from the café does smell incredible and adds to the experience.

This is a decent place to purchase furniture for your household or home office. It is a furniture outlet, so oftentimes the pieces are bought straight off of the showroom floor and not from a stock warehouse. They seem to have good sales on accessories such as rugs and lamps and you can find great deals on the furniture pieces themselves. A friendly employee always greets you at the door. Good shopping experience.

Shoe Carnival is always a fun place to visit and shop for shoes. It seems as though they mark the price up on the products considerably and then put them "on sale" but there are still some good deals to be found if you're not too picky in choosing your shoes. You can spin the prize wheel at the front of the store and try to get coupons or more money off of a purchase on a future visit. I wish they had a larger variety of socks with crazy and fun patterns. Clearance items and sale items are not part of other promotions that are often ongoing, such as buy-one-get-one-half-price.

Were it not for the perfect dress of my dreams being a David's Bridal dress, I would not have went back to this business. The sales girl they set me up with was only interested in helping me once out of the three times I went in – the first two times, I took my bridesmaids, the third time I took my mother. While there with bridesmaids, I noticed that she gave her full attention to the girls who's parents were with them and left me with just my bridesmaid to help me in and out of the dresses. Funny how she was all over me and my mother when we went and it was no less busy than the other times we were there. They wanted to charge $200 for alterations, which is highway robbery considering I only needed the sides taken in and the hem taken up about 6 inches. I bought the dress and never went back – I had a private seamstress do the alterations and steaming and pressing for $30 grand total. Avoid David's Bridal if you can.

Best Buy in general is an OK place to shop for simple things like DVD's and CD's. However, when one goes in with the intent of purchasing an electronic product, they must be prepared to deal with shady sales tactics and high-pressure sales pitches for all of the extras. And be prepared to do your own investigating! I went into this particular Best Buy to purchase a desktop computer. I did not need a monitor, keyboard or mouse, I just needed the desktop PC unit itself. I found a great deal on a CPU that had great specs. I tracked down a sales rep who wasn't actively attempting to help anyone, despite the hoards of people milling around and pointed to him which unit I wanted. He gave me the spiel about accessories to go with – monitor, keyboard, etc., as well as some software special that was currently being promoted. I politely declined everything, emphasizing that I just want the CPU. He went off to look for it and returned a few minutes later – bummer, they're all out of stock! I was really interested in that model only, so I thanked him and began walking toward another section of the store when I saw 6 boxes of the CPU model I had my eye on sitting right there on the shelf at the end of the aisle. I went back to confront him about it and he faked a puzzled look and said "oh hehe. The computer said we were out of stock." Oh, sounds to me like someone wasn't going to make much commission off of me, so he didn't want to sell me the product. I went across the street to a competitor and purchased the same CPU for $30 extra, but that $30 was worth it for the service

While Circuit City in general is a decent store, I had a bad experience shopping at this particular location. I went in to purchase a laptop and my top 3 choice models were not in stock, but a very similar model was available as an open box item with a few bucks knocked off. After the promise of a full 1-year warranty, despite the fact it is open box, I decided to go ahead and buy the laptop. The sales guy informed me that since my wireless router at home is a G and this particular notebook's internal wireless card is a B, that I would have to buy an external G card. I trusted his knowledge since I do not know much about computers. As it would turn out, the B and G frequencies are backwards compatible and I did not need the external G card. I called to complain to the manager – per the terms of the purchase, a return of that particular open box item would not be accepted. The manager I spoke to was very nice and allowed me to return it for a full refund. A few months went by and suddenly, my computer would not boot up. I had registered it with Compaq the day I purchased it, so I figured that my warranty would be good since a year had not yet gone by. I called Compaq and they informed me that the warranty for my serial number was old and no longer under warranty. I explained to him about what the store employee told me and he told me that it happens all the time and all I have to do is fax the proof of purchase and the warranty would cover the problem. Well…..I faxed the receipt and did not hear from them for 2 weeks. I finally contacted Compaq and they told me that they did not receive a receipt that had my computer's serial number on it. I faxed it again. Still, no word. Another call, another "we did not receive a receipt with your computer's serial number." Come to find out, it's because the serial number on the receipt did not match the serial number on the computer! Seething mad, I called CC to tell them about my problem that is the result of their data entry error and they did not care – it was not their problem, according to the manager I spoke with. I had to pay for it to be fixed out of pocket, only for the motherboard to crack 3 months later – all of this would have been under warranty if the serial number would have matched the one on the receipt. I do not recommend that you shop at this Circuit City.

Maggie Moo's is a creamery style ice cream shoppe, where toppings are folded into ice cream, which is then molded by an employee on a cold slab of marble. I often visit Maggie Moo's during the summertime while taking a break from work and it is a refreshing little piece of heaven during a hard day of work. The flavors change constantly, though the toppings stay consistent. Each month, they feature a new concoction of ice cream, which is just a suggested ice cream flavor and toppings, but is usually very good. They also have ice cream cakes available, but I have not yet tried one.
