there are too many Baskin Robbins around anymore – I suppose the newer creamery competitors are edging them out, so go to Baskin Robbins right now to help keep them in business!

I hate seeing animals in captivity, but I do enjoy a trip to this zoo. The habitats are creatively designed and I absolutely love the penguin house. In the winter, a lot of animals are taken out of their exhibits, but admission
to the zoo is free, so you always get bang for your buck, no matter how empty the zoo is. Parking along the perimeter of the zoo is also free or you can park in the parking lot for a few dollars. This is a nice place to take
the kids on an early spring or late fall day when it’s not too crowded.

I’ve lived all over the state of Illinois and in St. Louis and have subsequently visited every mall within a 30-mile radius of wherever my current residence was during those times and I have yet to find a mall pretzel place that has pretzels as good as Pretzel Twister. There is not a
ton of variety and I’m sure that’s because of the limited versatility of the product, but these are some of the best pretzels around. They’re soft, chewy, hot and taste best with nacho cheese, though the cinnamon-sugar pretzels with icing are also very good. Stop by this place and get a pretzel if you’re in the mall.

Dunkin Donuts has awesome donuts and awesome coolata drinks. I used to scrounge up change for the drinks in college, paying in all dimes and nickels and pennies…they are that good! You can’t usually understand a word that the employees are saying because they have a very thick accent, but they are nonetheless friendly and prompt with their service. The donuts are so tasty – double chocolate is my favorite. Dunkin Donuts is hard to find these days :(

I love this store, but everything is way overpriced and I never purchase anything that isn’t being clearanced out – not even the shower stuff. They mark a lot of stuff down by 60% or more during their sales and that is the best time to shop. Apart from the clearance tables, the store is
immaculately clean and organized at all times and the employees are usually very friendly and knowledgeable about the products. Now if only I could get used to the idea of a man working in a lingerie store….

– I can’t even fit into any of the women’s clothes, because the size I wear and the next size up from that are cut so small. I love the feel of the worn-in clothing, but couldn’t you just buy a cheaper shirt somewhere else and wear it in yourself? In a word, the employees at this store are complete snobs! OK, that was two words. I shop elsewhere.

This store is a dream. It’s hip, it’s modern, it’s fun….it’s got everything I need to just kick back and spend an entire day there – furniture, books, clothes, games. I love the upstairs/downstairs...
This store is a dream. It’s hip, it’s modern, it’s fun….it’s got everything I need to just kick back and spend an entire day there – furniture, books, clothes, games. I love the upstairs/downstairs aspect to the store…it gives it more of a homey kind of feel – a very hip home, at that. The employees here seem like complete snobs, so I try to avoid them, but 9 times out of 10, they don’t approach me anyway. I guess since I don’t “look” like the demographic that shops there, then they don’t want to waste their time on me – fine by me because I get to shop in peace!

I’ve even seen competitors set up directly across the street from a Family Video in another town! Exercise videos are free to check out, as are children’s videos. When you rent a new release on Tuesday through Thursday, you get a free video from the Favorites collection – same with video games. You can also rent the game console itself to try it out. The employees always greet you with a smile when you walk in and treat you with courtesy and respect during your visit. Again, why would anyone shop at the competitor’s store?

I completely realize that the Disney Store is obviously very
children-oriented, but a bigger selection of adult merchandise would be very nice for those of us who have Disney-crazed relatives who are over the age of 10. There were a few shirts and a couple of pajama sets, but there was not much else by way of adult-sized merchandise. Again, I realize this is a store that caters to children, but my suggestion would be to expand the adult clothing/trinket area, especially around the Christmas holidays! Overall, a nice store with friendly, helpful employees. Very crowded at Christmas!

Well, you can’t really beat pizza for $5, that is if you don’t mind pizza that looks like it was cooked 6 hours ago and has been bathing in it’s own grease ever since. This pizza is rubbery and tastes about as good as a piece of cardboard with salt and pepper sprinkled atop. The crazy bread has gone downhill over the years as well – what used to be really hot, fresh breadsticks have now been replaced with something that has been sitting next to the grease pizza bath for 6 hours, turning to rubber.
