The place does not have much character, but it is clean and reasonably comfortable. The pizza is surprisingly good with a nice thickness of crust and not too much gloopy cheese. They have a decent selection of beverages, too. The sign says they have calzone, but it doesn't appear to be on the menu. They also have a big selection of subs/grinders at very reasonable prices. they have specials for drink and pizza or sandwich combos which are a pretty good value. They don't have a parking lot, but there's parking along Mt. Auburn and side streets, though you may end up having to walk a lilttle bit. Friendly service.

They have a decent selection of beverages, and they do provide crushed pepper flakes, basil, and parmesan to spruce up you slices. It is true that this place can get incredibly crowded since it's the only "real" restaurant in a large mall. As a result, service can suffer (on a recent visit, we never saw the waitress after the food was delivered and had to flag her down for the check -- she was friendly, though, and got the order right). I do think that their pizza has improved over the years, and they have a wide array of traditional and unusual toppings. They also have terrific salads and other dishes. They have "sugar free" flavored iced tea. The peach is okay, but the mango is horrible, and although they say it's sugar free, I think that just means no sugar added because the syrup that gives the fruit flavor undoubtedly has sugar in it (you can just taste it). I like that they have some tables for 2 that have booth-like comfy seats.

This rest stop along Route 3 is one of the better highway pit stops. It has a really excellent tourist information center (which is manned depending on the time of day, but there are always lots of brochures about the Cape, South Shore, but also for all of New England -- unlike many other places they keep their brochures up to date). The restrooms are clean. There aren't lots of food choices, but there's a newsstand, McDonald's, and a Honeydew Donuts (free samples!). The parking area is pretty big, and it's easy to find off the highway (thought there's a very long and windy turn to get into it). You don't have too many other options without getting off the road, but this is a good stop anyway.

Like other Ocean States, you just never know what you're going to find here, which is part of the fun. This location in particular has a lot more Cape-y merchandise (outdoor things, patio furniture, beach stuff, etc.) than other stores. They have a small food department and less of other things in general, but perhaps off season that isn't the case (but for summer season they want to feature their beach paraphanelia). You can find good deals on random clothing (in winter it's great for gloves) and random housewares (but very hit or miss -- plenty of ugly stuff). They have just about everything -- books, tools, housewares, cosmetics, art supplies, etc. You can poke around for hours. Plenty of parking and a central location.

This is a great stop for lunch or dinner. The staff is very young, but they are very friendly and attentive. They have a huge selection of Mexican dishes, sandwiches and wraps, and Pizza. The pizzas range from traditional to very creative (Philly Cheesesteak pizza!), and they come in your choice of crust thickness. Their Syrian bread wraps are fresh and delicious. One thing that it great about this place is that they are very happy to make substitutions or additions to your meal. The Iced Tea is very good and fresh, too. This is in a great location surrounded by antique shops and other boutiques and gifty shops (and a very big consigment shop). Make an afternoon of your trip to BZs.

One thing I like about Brooks in general over CVS is that you don't have to have a card (not that I don't love my CVS rewards), and they have some great sales! This Brooks is quite Cape-y because they have a lot of beach and outdoor and seasonal stuff. It's right on the main road in Dennisport, so very convenient. They have some candy that a lot of other stores don't carry (like Dots-tropical flavor and various Take 5 flavors). They also have lots of different drink options. The staff here is mostly older people who are very friendly and attentive (I find all Brooks friendlier than CVS by a longshot). Good for all your drugstore needs.

Since mid Cape doesn't have the big orange evil (Home Depot) or Lowes, you are left with your smaller hardware stores. This one is a good option. It's funny because they definitely have a "Cape" clientele (lots of outdoor furniture, decking supplies, etc.). They are a Pratt & Lambert paint distributer, and they guys in the paint department are very patient and friendly (they have an excellent paint matching service). All the staff is rather friendly -- I don't know how it would be in the height of summer, but the natives are friendly to the locals in the off-season. It's a medium sized hardware store that carries all your basic supplies but doesn't have the tons of kitchen and bath stuff that the superstores have (things like wide variety of vanities, toilets, cabinetry, etc). Well situated on the main road with plenty of parking and easy to find.

One thing about this place is that everyone seems to be having a good time! In good weather, they have some windows that open out to the outside so you can see the hustle and bustle of Moody Street go by. In all the times I've been, I've never ordered entrees but rather have ordered an array of cold and hot tapas. The quality is a mixed bag -- the tortilla is unspectacular, the beef tenderloin with chimichurri is very tender, the gambas (shrimp) al ajillo (with garlic) is too salty but the sauce soaks up well in bread, etc. etc. Of course it ends up being a bit expensive but not overly so if you don't go overboard (if everyone gets a drink and 2-3 tapas, it's about $25 per person plus tip. If actually pans out to have a bigger group and stick to 2 tapas per person). It's easy to overdo it on the drinks because they are very good (yummy sangria), and that's where the price can add up. The service is good, not great. Nicely decorated.

The place is small and a bit cramped, but you can count on the quality, particularly for the produce. I'm not a "member" (so I guess I pay a little more? not sure how it works). It's no bargain, but it's not overpriced, either. A few years ago they expanded their counter food service (the Harvest Cafe, which carries things you can't find in the store). This is very convenient to the Central Square T stop and has a parking lot in the back, too. They carry kind of a random selection of different things (including non-food items), but you can find the staples here. They don't have particularly long hours (like they're not open early, so if you go to work early you're out of luck -- they open at 8).
