Located in the newer shopping center outside of Tega Cay, the Red Bowl Bistro is pretty decent. We’ve only been there once. The food was fine – nothing to dislike or boast about. They do have some interesting and authentic selections which were fun to try. Atmosphere is nice and calm. Ok for kids – they tend to stick close to the Asian menu so if your kids are picky, good luck. Service was good too!

I love this place – located in the South End of Charlotte across from Atherton Mills. A small, diner-type place with the typical hot dog and hamburger fair. Terrific soft serve ice cream with is the favorite! Onion rings are great too. The burger, etc are pretty good although not huge in size. Cash only I believe. Bummer is that they are closed on the weekends

The Wild Wing Café serves up some excellent wings. We usually go on Tuesdays when it is buy 10, get 10 free. The wings are a nice size and there is a ton of flavors to choose from. We have also gotten the chili which was great. Service has always been very good as well. Prices are average. If going with the kids, try to stay outside of the prime bar hours – they do have a pretty large bar area that tends to get packed as the night goes on.

There is a huge selection but with any outlet store, you have to go with an open mind in order to select from what is available. They even run specials - usually on the holiday weekends – with extra discounts on stuff. Even if you don’t shop during a special, they are willing to bargain based on what you’re spending. Terrific staff too!

I went to the gym in Smyrna, GA during a fitness camp for the weekend and let me tell ya, I was in complete awe and totally jealous of all the members. What a gorgeous gym! Tons of equipment, classes, and beautiful locker rooms. I could have spent the entire weekend in the cardio theatre! Truly a movie theater with the seats ripped out and treadmills/ellipticals put in! They had their own boxing room, aerobics studio (bigger than my entire gym, yoga room, spinning room, and more! I asked the price of membership and nearly passed out – completely reasonable! I think I’m paying more at my little gym!

Their bakery and produce sections are amazing with an incredible variety and beautiful selections. Very clean and organized! I actually emailed them to ask them if they had plans to open one near me ? Prices are those of an average grocery store. I also love the meals and deli sandwiches they prepare as ordered for their shoppers – great way to eat and know what is in it!

One of my favorite places to eat and have coffee! I love the Panera menu, atmosphere, and service. Always prompt and kind! Prices are reasonable but the quality and amount of food is always generous. Their salads are my favorite – that’s only because I’d never leave if I started on their bakery items. The cinnamon crunch bagel is the best bagel ever made! They have frequent buyer cards which I fill on a regular basis. Great menus for the kids too!

I frequent this home furnishings discount store about once every six months. I am a bug shopper of clearance items. For the most part, the regular prices at Tuesday Morning are better than retail but still too pricey for me. They rotate the clearance stock at a slow pace but digging through can reveal some great catches on cookware, sheets, and holiday décor. Watch for the extra percent off sales on their website!

Just outside of downtown Cleveland, Slymans hails some of the best corned beef around (Goodman’s in Parma is great too!). They have a busy place with fast service. It is extremely casual and almost always packed for lunch. The names of the sandwiches are very creative – my favorite being the “smurf” – it all depends on the toppings you like on your corned beef sandwich.

Newly opened in Baxter Village, Liu Lius is a great place for good asian food. Service was impeccable and very helpful. Selections were great for lunch and even better for dinner. The prices are typical for the Baxter area (a little high) but the lunch prices were very reasonable. Not too sure how kid-friendly it is. Based on the atmosphere (which was great) I would say no to kids but they'd be missing a big audience if not.
