RiRa is a great place to eat if you're looking for something a little more eclectic than your standard dinner fare. If you’re looking for fish and chips or bangers and mash, this is your place. Everything I’ve tried there, including sandwiches and dinner entrees has been delicious. The atmosphere, too, is great. They have an outdoor eating area as well which is a fun place to spend a summer evening.

When I worked downtown, this was a restaurant we often frequented for lunch. I especially enjoyed the fresh hushpuppies they bring to the table when you order and could make a meal out of them without much effort. They offer pretty much any kind of seafood you want, cooked almost any way you want it. For the non-seafood eaters, they also have a good selection of salads and non-fishy entrees.

We first went to the Peddler after a friend raved about their salad bar. She told us it was worth driving across town just for salad. We went and found that their salad bar was indeed fresh and offered an extensive variety, but also that the steak was incredible. When you are ready to order, the peddler will come to your table to slice your cut of steak right in front of you before grilling it to your specifications. A bit pricier than some other steakhouses, the Peddler is definitely worth the money.

One of the nicest wedding receptions I've been to recently was held here. The atmosphere was delightful and the food was amazing. I can't remember being that impressed with a luncheon buffet spread in a while. The servers were also very professional. I would recommend Bloombury Bistro to anyone looking for a simple, but elegant gathering.

With several kids to tote around everywhere I go, I just can't beat the convenience of Walmart Super Center. I can take the car in for an oil change, get my groceries, pick up some school supplies for the kids, get my hair cut and not have to leave the store. This Brier Creek location has the advantage over other Walmarts in the area, still being pretty new, pretty clean and having the most employees who aren't sick of their jobs yet.

Wendy's is our standby for good, cheap fast food. They are our family's first choice for a quick lunch on the run since they offer great salads for Mom, big burgers for Dad and the chicken nuggets the kids love. Their recent decision to allow customers to customize their own combo meals was really smart - sometimes you just want a baked potato instead of fries - and you can't beat their 99 cent menu.

I love Dunkin Donuts! Give me a chocolate cake donut covered with sugary glaze or a french crueller or a box of munchkins. It doesn't matter. They're all good! I prefer these far and away to Krispy Kremes. There is a flavor to suit everyone. Stop by in the morning and pick up a box for the office!

When I first moved to Raleigh, a co-worker thought he'd do something nice by bringing me a dozen hot, fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts. The first one was delightful. The second one was really good. The third was pretty tasty. By the time I finished the fourth I thought I had ten pounds of rocks in my stomach. The moral of the story: One is good. Two isn't always better.
