Food Lion is your place to go if you are looking for the cheapest grocery store in the area. Their prices on regular pantry items are usually much less expensive than some of the high end grocery stores. They offer everything a person really needs, though the selection sometimes isn't the best. Overall it’s a good store for the money.

Harris Teeter is, as a whole, the nicest grocery store in the area. While it offers everything you’d find in a regular supermarket, they stand out by offering a wider than average selection of fancy cheese, fresh produce, and ethnic foods. They have a great deli and a pretty good sushi bar for a grocery store. They have a really nice flower shop in store. While their prices tend to be higher overall than other grocery stores, they do offer great sales and specials.

My favorite thing about shopping at Whole Foods is the wide variety of bulk foods. You name it, they have it: oats, barley, wheat berries, granola, dried fruit, chocolate dipped pretzels, wasabi peas…Their selection of organic produce is unmatched in the Triangle. Their bakery produces delicious crusty bread and sweet treats, and their deli offers outstanding salads. If you’re looking for specialty foods, this is the place to look.

Fresh Market is a great small grocery store. In addition to pantry staples, they offer beautiful cases of fresh meat, lesser-known vegetables, and huge bins of grains, nuts and dried fruit. They have a fabulous deli, stocked with delicious prepared salads and dinner entrees, and a terrific bakery. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and it is a pleasant place to shop.

I have never been disappointed with the food or the service. Everyone at Catering Works – from the planners to the chefs to the servers – are professionals.

Take my advice; give Hershey bars to the kids and save the Lindt for yourself! It really is too good to share with those who don’t appreciate fine chocolate.
This Shop has the distinct advantage of being in the Crabtree Valley Mall, so it's easy to get to when your need for chocolate hits!
