Tangy Tomato is the best place to go to for Indian-Chinese food. They have a great lunch buffet with plenty of noodle and rice dishes to choose from. The sizzling Panner Tikka Masala appetizer is a must have. The Schezwan Fried rice is really spicy and delicious. Very spacious and great for parties. Downside is that the service is inconsistent. On some days you have to wait for a really long time to get your order while on others its very quick.

Ambala Dhaba really makes you think you are eating home made India food. The decor has the feel of a village in Punjab. They have all varieties of curries, breads and rice. The lunch plate costs only around 5 to 6 dollars and is very filling. The place is usually crowded with students from UCLA and is open late on Friday and Saturday nights. There is very limited parking and you may have to park on the street. If you are in the mood for cheap and good quality Indian food, this is the place.

Bombay Cafe of Pico Blvd looks very plain from the outside. You wonder if you should really be going in. Don't be fooled by the exterior. The quality of the food is excellent and the owner of this restaurant has been featured on Food Network. The clientèle is mostly American. They offer a great variety of appetizers. They also have a full bar inside. The food is very flavorful but not spicy. If you like spicy Indian food, make sure you tell them to make it spicy when you order. Service is quick and friendly.

The food counter inside the theater serves Indian snacks. Tickets are 8 dollars on all days except Tuesdays when it is only 5 dollars. Biggest downside is that they only accept cash payment. On weekends for new releases they have a show every hour from the afternoon. They also screen Cricket Matches.

The Bridge Deluxe Cinema theater takes your movie going experience to a higher level. You really wonder if you've stepped into a movie theater. Impeccably maintained. Very comfortable seats and spacious. Enough leg room. The IMAX screen is out of this world. You can choose your seats in the Director's Hall which has leather seats. Its expensive but worth the money once in a while. They also have a lounge with a full bar. Great place to hang out with friends on a Friday night.

Tantra is a classy Indian restaurant with a separate bar and lounge area. Dimly lit with a beautiful interior, its a perfect cozy atmosphere for a romantic dinner. The cuisine is quite different from that of a typical Indian restaurant. A lot of importance is given to presentation and some of the dishes are quite exotic. They have a great cocktail list. They waiters are very unobtrusive and you almost don't notice them. It is on the more expensive side but a perfect place for a special occasion. Very crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. Only downside is that they don't accept reservations for parties of less than 6.
