Makahuena at poipu by Castle resorts is nothing more than a glorified version of Econo Lodge or Motel 6. Don't be fooled by the beautiful pictures that you see on the internet. This place has not been maintained well at all. It hardly looks like a resort. The kitchen in the condos have sub-standard appliances and dishes. The ocean view rooms just give you a small glimpse of the ocean seen through other buildings in front. Simply not worth the price you pay.
