Every night if you drive down Atlantic Blvd. and pass by Brusters you will see that there are always lines of people. That should say something about this place. They have the best ice cream. Our favorite is a large scoop of ice cream in a waffle cone. All of their ice cream is made with farm fresh milk and cream with giant chunks of real fruit, nuts, cookies and candies. They also make reduced carb and no sugar added ice cream. They have so many flavors to choose from. We go all the time and have only touched on the flavors offered. They also make yogurt and delicious ice cream cakes too.

Hollie's Dancin Dreams is a small studio that has opened in the West Beaches. There are some very large top notch dance studios in Jacksonville but for some they can be overwhelming. Hollie's Dancin Dreams is a bit more relaxed. The motto is really to have fun while learning to dance. She offers ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, acrobatics and a Movement class for younger children. They offer classes from toddler to adult. Once a month they offer a Kid's Night Out which is an opportunity for parents to have an evening out. The kids get to play games, dress up, dance, tumble, eat pizza and watch movies.

I was disappointed when Coal's Pizza closed and saw that a German restaurant had opened but I decided to stop in and pick up a menu. I was greeted by a very friendly staff. They told me that they also delivered within a 5 mile radius and thanked me for stopping in. I loved the welcoming decor. The mneu includes soups, salads, appetizers, pizza, calzones and of course German dishes. We decided to do take-out and we were very impressed with what we ordered. Nice portions and the food was very good. Since we are cutting back on carbs we tried the whole wheat dough pizza and we actually got it with shrimp. It was very good. The wiener schnitzel and the Cordon Blue were also enjoyed by all. Also, the calzones can be made with whole what dough also.

Although this is a chain salon I still think this is a good place to go for a haircut. I have not had any coloring or anything done here just haircuts for myself and my family. Deb has been here since this location opened as well as few of the other stylists. As a neighborhood hair salon they know their customers and provide great customer service. You would think that because you are not paying alot for a cut that they would not spend alot of time on your hair. But this is not true. I know that Deb will take as much time as necessary to make sure you are happy with your hair.

Pete’s Bar has been a landmark in Neptune Beach since 1933. They say that is the oldest continuously operating bar in northeast Florida. Pete's is very laid back. Shorts and flip flops are fine. It's pretty big and has two rooms with a long bar and one of the rooms has pool tables. There is also ping-pong and foosball tables. John Grisham wrote about Pete's Bar in his novel, The Brethren. Also, Ernest Hemingway visited Pete's.

The Seahorse Motel in Neptune Beach is right on the beach. It is a small two story motel and it is very reasonably priced. Whenever out of town guests come to visit this is a great place for them to stay. The rooms are spacious and they have ocean views. The 1st floor rooms have patios and the 2nd floor rooms all have balconies. Also, six of the units have kitchenettes and there is one large penthouse with a living room, dining room, full kitchen and separate bedroom as well as sofa beds. Even though it is right on the beach they also have a nice pool and shuffleboard, picnic tables, and grills if you want to cookout. Outside by the pool there is a bar called the Lemon Bar. The location is great. It is right in the middle of Town Center where there are great restaurants like Ragtime Tavern and the Sun Dog Diner.

conditioners and skin treatments and they don't charge extra for this. Every service includes a warm bath, a blow dry, nail clipping, ears cleaned, a brush-out, cologne, bow tie and a treat. Also if you you ask they will polish your pets nails. An additional service
that they offer is tooth brushing for $5.00. Each tooth brushing includes your pets own personal dental kit.
This isn't the same teeth cleaning that the vet does when they put your pet under anesthesia. This is a surface brushing. One thing that is nice is that they call you when your pet is ready to go home.
