My 6-year-old has been to see him 3 or 4 times now, and she just loves him, even after having to get a cavity filled. Our previous pediatric dentist's office was fancier and had more toys to play with, and the dentist was good at what she did, but my daughter was intimidated by her and didn't like going there. But she thinks Dr. Marks is funny, and has been happy to go back to see him each time.
He's thorough and gentle and knowledgeable. I like his approach to preventive care, and to teaching kids (and parents) how to take care of their teeth. I highly recommend his practice.

Indo's been under new management for at least a year now. The health violations are a thing of the past (happened under the previous owners), and the food is better than ever. I eat there about once a month, most recently a couple of weeks ago with friends who used to live in Indonesia, speak the language fluently, and had just returned from spending the summer there.
I've always enjoyed the food at Indo, but I didn't know how authentic it was, having only had Indonesian at one other place. My friends declared it authentic and delicious. It's well worth a try if you like Thai, Indian, and other intensely-flavored cuisines.

I'm not a chocolate lover, but my husband swooned at their triple chocolate cupcakes. The cake part is made with Valrhona cocoa, and the frosting is made with some decadent Belgian chocolate I don't remember the name of. There must be some third kind of chocolate in it, but not being a chocolate fan, I wasn't paying close attention!
I love their red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, and their snickerdoodle cupcakes (cinnamon swirl with cinnamon frosting). They have a rotating menu of flavors, and if I could, I'd go there every day and try something different. The only thing I don't like about the cupcakes is that they're $3 each, and not all that big.
Of course, they have coffee and tea, and they also have at least two different kinds of hot chocolate (American, French, and maybe Mexican as well).
The store also sells gorgeous vintage-y party decorations and invitations, and the decor is crisply pretty and inviting. It's my favorite place to go for a little portion-controlled indulgence.
