a san francisco classic steakhouse and i hear one of the oldest. the steak is delicious but i made the mistake of ordering prime rib which was okay. the atmosphere though is something which transports you back. the red velvet decor and booths make for a cozy setting. i would definitely go back to for the steak.

while menu is limited and unchanging the food is consistenly good. the restaurant is three levels and the base place to sit in on the mezzanine which overlooks the the bar and tables on the ground level. i've had the sole and steak there and they are both good. the best is the tomatoe soup in the pastry bowl.

was desperately seeking a good italian restaurant in a fun neighborhood. il cantuccio offers great service and seems like a family run restaurant. seems a bit on the pricey side for italian food but decent food. i had a baked crab dish and it was better than expected. didn't try the dessert because i overloaded on the bread which came before the meal. the pesto dip for the bread was delicious.

is a cute little restaurant. it's in a fun neighborhood and parking is possible although challenging at times. the service was very attentive and the food was good. they offer an early bird special with a 30.00 pre fix menu which includes an appetizer, entree and dessert. definitely worth trying.

upscale hawaiin restaurant. i was impressed the first time i went particularly since i'm always on the hunt for good hawaiin food which there seems to be a shortage of. second time i went though, i couldn't tell if it was just american or hawaiin. there was no hawaiin feel to the restaurant at all. maybe because i ordered from the pre fix menu the second time.
