This place is ok. You get ice cream and a variety of 'mix' options ranging from graham crackers to snickers to whip cream. The serving sizes are pretty decent. Thing is, its a little pricey. 13.00+ for ice cream for three, is too expensive. Also, when I ordered the kid size for my daughter, they refused to mix it together! They said it wasn't included in the kid size.... but isn't that the whole point?

These are the best burgers in Concord, CA! Huge charbroiled burgers with their 'special sauce' are soo tasty that when we discovered this place, we went back 5 times in 9 days! CRAZY right? It's now at the point where the owner automatically brings us the extra sauce! Great curly fries too! The milk shakes are not the best but still ok. They even have a a kids meal where for 4.99 they get a plain burger with fries and a drink, and its the same size burgers! Great deal! I couldn't find a phone number online but it's located in the Park N Shop Center on Willow Pass. Check it out!

So my fiance and I, on our quest to find the perfect, reasonably priced, venue for our ceremony/reception, went to check out il fornaio in Carmel, CA. The restaurant was very nice, and their event coordinator was extremely accomodating, coming up with suggestions for the reception and taking the time to answer our questions. Since we'd never eaten at the restaurant, however, we thought it would be a good idea to see if we even liked the food... my fiance had the lobster ravioli, which he didnt care for. The texture of the 'lobster' was almost like mush and the ravioli was a little tough. Me, I had the shrimp with lemon. The shrimp was not cooked enough for my taste and the potatoes were soft. It was supposed to come with grilled vegetables... instead it came with spinach salad, which I dont much care for. The dinner bread was hard and there was lint in the wine glass! The dessert tray looked delicious so we decided to order their 'flourless' cake. No, this may be our fault but I think they should have let us know that flourless cake i not really cake. Instead, its a super sweet, super rich chocolate wedge. Now, the only thing I enjoyed was the coffee we had to complement the dessert. However, I would have enjoyed it more if there weren't green stuff floating in the creamer and if the SECOND creamer we asked for didnt have more lint! $70 for this meal? Definitely not worth it... and definitly won't be subjecting our guests to this...

I went to check out the La Playa Hotel in Carmel, CA for a possible wedding venue. The lady, Pam, was nice enough I guess but the reception room she showed me had a very 'conference' room feel. There were pictures on the wall and standard plants in the corners. I asked if we could remove the pictures. She said 'No'. I asked if we could remove the plants. She said 'No'. Not even a 'Sorry, we cant do this for you'. Not very accomodating at all.

OMG the food here is delicious! My fiance and I were trying to avoid typical Denny's fare and found Tillie Gort' Cafe in Pacific Grove. I ordered their egg and apple sausage platter. It came with chicken apple sausage, wheat toast and roasted potatos. So good! Big servings of food, odwalla orange juice, table by the window so you can people watch while you enjoy your breakfast. Definitely better than chain food!

Stayed at the Travelodge in Monterey, CA for one night recently. The reviews I'd read on tripadvisor where pretty decent. Spacious, free wifi etc. At $55 dollars/night it was a reasonable deal. When I checked in, though, the room was not spacious AT ALL. The bathroom floor was tinged yellow. I kept my shoes on the whole time! There was also a 'smell' in the room, a slightly sour smell I bought a candle on cannery row to burn in the room an it helped somewhat. The only 'pro' was the free wifi, that ended up being very convenient.

I try to avoid Sears whenever I can. It seems each time I walk into that store, I'm attacked by sales people wanting to know if they 'can help'. I find myself repeatedly saying 'no thanks, i'm just looking' which gets old real fast. I find its really in the home appliance/tools section where this hounding occurs. Commision perhaps? One 'sales' person, to whom I already said 'no thanks', actually followed us around and jumped right ino a discussion we were having regarding different bbq grill options! When Im ready to buy something or if i have questions, I'll let you know. Until then, leave me in peace!

This is a great place to grab breakfast or lunch on a lazy weekend day. They offer the general breakfast fare, eggs, omelets, pancakes etc. The waitresses are always very friendly and service is generally excellent. For lunch they have salads and sandwiches. I love their cobb salad with ranch...so good. They do offer dinner but the chicken and veggie platter wasn't good at all. I love it for breakfast, brunch or lunch, but I'd stay away for dinner

I love this restaurant. The food is delicious! Granted, I've only ever had the vaca frita but my oh my is it good! Its this tangle of tangy lime, garlic, onion fried beef served with rice and your choice of platanos or negro frijoles. Me, I always go with the sweet platains. Accompany the meal with a tall glass of guanabana juice and end with flan! So good my mouth is watering just typing this review! Service is excellent and prices are reasonable. What more could you ask for?
