We recently took my mother there for her birthday. They offer a free meal to the birthday person if you go on the exact. (although we didn't go on the exact date so no free meal). The food is decent. Theres a big selection of sushi, seafood, several salads, many desserts. My favorite is their fresh crepe station. I have them make it with bananas and strawberries and extra extra powder sugar. The service is ok. They charged me full price for my kid. When I asked about it, they said 'oh, isn't see over 5ft?' . We went over to measure and it turned out she was close, but not quite, even with the thick soles on her tennis shoes. Seems to me, they should ask, or actually measure before they charge the full adult price. When I asked them to fix it, they asked if they could just offer a free meal for next time instead of refunding me my money. No thanks. So then we had to wait about 20 minutes while they figured out how to void the transaction. If they had just measured first, there would have been no problems.

I like this place. It has great beef ball soup... very tasty and satisfying on a cold day. I also like their grilled pork platter, very flavorful. The prices are very reasonable, approximately $5 - $7 per plate. However, they don't offer one of my favorite desserts, fried banana w/ coconut ice cream. I wish they would. It's a great way to top off dinner.

I went to the Regis Hair Salon to get highlights. I arrived a few minutes early but they took me right away. I filled out a little questionnaire about my preferences which the stylist then reviewed with me. When the stylist suggested some colors for the highlights, I told her I wanted them subtle. She said she was going to ask for some recommendations from her coworkers. When she came back, the color was already mixed and she started to apply it! Of course the color came out way to light so I had to go back to the 'sink' for her to apply a different color. She had a hard time finding colors to mix. It seemed each color she was looking for was out of stock. I dont get my hair 'done' alot but 4 hours seems like a loooong time to me. Total cost for hair cut/color, eyebrow wax, tip was $200. End result, it was cute but doesn't seem like anything you cant do at home on your own.

Trader Joe's offers healthy food for reasonable prices. I find that their prices are comparable to typicla grocery stores but the food seems riper, fresher, and healthier. I like to get their freshly baked breads and make panini sandwiches at home. I also like to get their mini toasts and organic pizza sauce. Then I go home and make little 'mini pizzas' for snacks. You can top them with pepperoini slices and cheese, and even add an olive! Great appetizer!
Service is always great at Trader Joe's and it's never overly crowded. I enjoy shopping there.

Growing up, I did everything I could to avoid the dentist. I associated pain and uncomfortableness with each visit. When it was my turn to take my kid I wanted to make sure her experience was the exact opposite. When I took her to Pediatric Dentistry, from the first visit, the staff was very nice and patient. They gave us a tour of the facility, took a photo of her holding a huge toothbrush, and overall just made her very comfortable. This is very important... She goes willingly, which is a big deal. I'm so happy I've never had to 'drag' my kid to the dentist.

For my kid's party last year, we held it at Waterworld and it was great! I set it up online for for 19.99 per ticket, same pricing as a regular ticket... but because its the birthday package, you also get a reserved table (with coverage from the sun), pizza, ice cream and soda for everyone. You normally get the food all at once but we asked if we could save the ice cream for later and they were totally flexible. They even gave us fresh soda when we came back! Minimum purchase amount is 8 tickets, but with that, you get a 9th ticket free, plus free inner tube rental for the birthday kid. Seems like if youre going with a group of friends, you should get the birthday bash anyways, even if its no one's birthday, since its such a good deal! Plus all the kids (and even the adults) had a great time going on all the water rides!

They have very trendy clothes, though sometimes it seems it's really adult clothes shrunk down. I can't see spending $40 though for a pair of jeans my kid will only wear for four months, if that....

Even with the sales, it's still cheaper to shop elsewhere for the same clothes. Before the school year started this year, I gave my daughter a clothing allowance that was to last the entire year. We talked about buying two and a half outfits at Limited Too or ten outfits elsewhere. Yes, my daughter loves this store but even she recognizes its not worth the price.

This is a great place to pass an evening. They have bumper guards for the kids so the kids can enjoy bowling. Prices are reasonable. There's a little arcade center with an air hockey table and even a food center in case you get hungry. Very yummy fried zuchini! I like this bowling alley because it doesn't seem as crowded as other bowling alleys.

I enrolled my daughter at this school in Kindergarten. I met the principal at the gime, Mrs. Passow, and really liked the small teacher/student ratio. Kindergarten was great, her teacher Mrs Reyes was really sweet and good with the children. First grade was great as well... Ms Damouh (now Mrs Miller) also was an excellent teacher. Second grade is when the mess started... They pulled a teacher out of retirement to teach the second grade. This teacher should have stayed in retirement. She spent the day yelling at the children. The parents complained. She was fired and a new teacher was hired. This teacher was no better. In addition to the yelling, there were reports that she grabbed children by the arms to yank them into their seats. Totally unacceptable. This teacher was also fired. For the remainder of the year, the principal and the music teacher, Mrs Curran, taught the class. Mrs Curran is an abrupt, abrasive teacher with insufficient patience to teach children. I allowed my child to finish the second grade but then pulled her out (as did many other parents). This was four years ago so maybe things have improved... but who knows?

Assistance free of charge, even though I have the bare legal minimum insurance on my old 94 car. A few weeks ago, I accidently locked the keys in a friend's car that I was driving. I called Roadside Assistance and they said it was covered! They had a tow truck out to where I was at within 20 minutes. Great service
