They have lots of cool stuff but there is NO room to turn around and the staff follow you around like you're going to steal or break something. Some things are antique, but 99% of the stuff is trendy/hipster/mod stuff. Nothing of actual use. But fun tchotchkes and nearly everything would be well received as a gift. I like the store, but not its size or its staff.

I would have loved this when I was a kid. Dinosaurs and stuff like that, as well as exhibits about the different environments. BUT, these exhibits don't change. They're stuffed moose (or whatever) behind glass, in front of painted scenery. It's pretty unimpressive as an adult. They used to have a butterfly exhibit, but that wasn't the best I'd seen either, and their chocolate exhibit could have used some more interactivity. The Lewis & Clark exhibit wasn't bad though. I guess if you have young kids, it's worth a visit.

This is a great exhibit because it's almost entirely interactive. Great for kids and kids-at-heart. The opening monologue/presentation is a little patriotic, but other than that, the place presents straight facts without any overt politicalization of things. The Ben Franklin exhibit that is there now is especially awesome. There's a lot of information and you can spend the whole day there learning about American history and the Constitution. They also have a nice little cafe.

I hate this mall. Hate it with a passion. Sure, it's in a convenient area and has quite a few popular low end shops. But the people that go there are TRASH. They're the ones with eight kids hanging off 'em, yapping on their cell phone, and going the wrong way on the escalator. I've also seen/smelled several people smoking weed in the mall. So apparently, there's no security either.
It's nearly impossible to get from one level to another or to get OUT of the mall when you need to. It's a maze with few exits and even fewer maps.
I avoid this mall at all costs.

This is a nice theater in a very convenient area. Tickets aren't quite as pricey as the Kimmel, though the off-Broadway shows don't make an appearance. The seating is pretty tight, especially if you're in the upper levels. But the staff were all friendly, and that's always appreciated. Take in a show if you can.

On my first visit the store smelled like bleach. On the second it smelled like moth balls. It was overpowering both times. Hardly any checkout lines were open and the selection was not as large as SuperFresh. I was disappointed. Maybe I just went at a bad time, but it's not like I was there at 3am on a Tuesday or something. I don't know, but I do know I won't be going back.

I love the zoo. I really like the Philadelphia Zoo too. It's the oldest in the country, and while most of it has been redone several times, you can tell that it's not a new zoo because some of the habitats are much smaller that what you would find at the San Diego zoo or another huge zoo. The animals seem well cared for and that's what's important. Parking is expensive and often a good hike away. You can get there by public transit, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're not familiar with the different routes. And, if you have some extra cash, definitely go up in the Zoo Balloon, It's a blast and offers great views of the city.

I love the IMAX theater and the various traveling exhibits they have (though Body Worlds wasn't that great). Their gift shop is fabulous. They're right down the parkway from the Art Museum, and across the street from the Academy of Natural Sciences. All the touristy stuff together. FI is a little pricey, but worth it if you go to a unique exhibit--and almost all of them are.

I went there with my parents one summer. It wasn't spooky or scary, but it was creepy, becuase a lot of the prison is falling down just from age. It was interesting to learn about the construction of the place, and why it was built the way it was, as well as the people who were jailed there. The rooms were very tiny, so if you're claustrophobic, you might not enjoy the tour. And, you get to wear sexy hard hats!

Pretty on the outside, pretty on the inside. Great acoustics and great seating. The only seating issues are the standards: not enough leg room and not enough hip room for fatter people. They always put on great shows and they have a nice gift shop. If you go, take a few minutes to walk around and look at the architecture. It’s great.
