I've appreciated the name of this restaurant from a far long before I actually tried it. I've only been in for breakfasts and haven't been able to order anything beyond the biscuits and gravy yet. (I retort, I once ordered a cinamon roll "appetizer" in addition to the biscuits and gravy...because that's necessary). Everything is tasty and the service is great. The interior is a little bizarre. I couldn't say exactly why, however I'd be disposed to say it has something to do with the Wizard of Oz Collectible Plate Wall.

Being obsessed with frozen yogurt in the NW these days can be kind of trying. In the greater Seattle area there are a few cafes that offer it (mostly downtown), a few chains out in the subrubs, and Costco food courts. While Tasti D Lite isn't yogurt per say - it's equally fantastic and it's everywhere in NY. I got a cup every day I was in the city, (somtimes twice). Always rotating flavors, lots of toppings. Washington needs it!

I had a lot of family in town when I just moved to Lower Queen Anne and made reservations here in a blind panic. We had a large party and I even had to move the times but they were quite accomodating. All of the dishes I tried were mighty tasty and we received very attentive and pleasant service through the meal's duration. They have a live piano player and our waitress made a huge deal of my roommate's birthday. She let us sign and decorate their guest book, and promised to email us pictures they took of her. The fact that they later sent us pictures of a small child and her family, whom we didn't know, was almost more endearing than if they had sent us the correct pictures!

The servers attitude is great and the general ambiance is very courteous. Simply spoken, it just takes way too long to get your coffee / food. Multiple times they seem to have even forgotten my order and I have to go inquire about it. But again, they're super nice about it.
There was a definite pro to the place - amongst their books and games I happened upon a book written from the first person perspective of the dog from Frasier. Literally. The dog referred to himself.

The character of this restraurant lies in its virtual lack of character. Run of the mill interior, pleasant service and decent menu. Their current Christmas decorations seem to sum it up; a single strand of garland wrapped with a single strand of lights along the wall. Just enough to say they care...sort of. The food is pretty great though, especially including the food to price ratio. 30+ pizza options, 10 or so pasta plates, all of which I believe are under $10 and come with a great salad and bread. They have wine for $3.75 a glass! Free delivery and I've never seen it packed inside.

This was the one full course sit down meal I had while in NY because the rest of the time I couldn't help but eat something random every 2 hours or so. We tried to go to Mario Batali's Otto, but the wait was too long so we ended up in the village at this pizza place. The prices were better than I was expecting and I haven't eaten that much in god knows how long - I'm kind of hoping never. The fact that I over indulged is no one's fault but my own and everything was delicious. Good anti pasta plate, and my friend's Gorgonzola gnocchi was borderline mind blowing. Followed the whole extravaganza up with a Magnolia cupcake a few hours later and I've never been the same.

This art store is great! I initially went to kill time waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant, but it's mind blowing how much time you can spend wandering about. They have lots of "real" art supplies, but the fun lies in the throwback projects they have around every corner. (Colored sand projects, Shrinky Dinks, etc). My roommates and I spent about an hour last year debating between a button maker and a tye dye kit...with the tye dye winning in the end (I'm still rocking the random articles I dyed on a regular basis). Also have the most bizarre and entertaining coloring books around, stuff like 18th Century Costume Design Coloring & Activity Book. Who would need that? Besides me? Nice stuff, nice staff!

I just got back from a trip to New York, and yes I'm going to write reviews for places I ate at once, if not just so I can see the little map icons when I view my reviews. I always heard about how great NY's bagels are, and was told to eat at H&H. My friend took me here instead and it was yummy. Tons of choices of spreads, lox, sandwiches, etc. It was also refreshing that after I ordered a quasi ridiculous and specific drink order she simply yelled out, "latte!".

As a previous frequenter of Hairmasters and Rudy's, I finally found a solution that excludes a barber and/or myself in front of a mirror with blunt paper scissors. A basic haircut here is generally $35 and the extra $15 is well worth it. They have a happy hour brow waxing from 4:00-6:00 and offer other various services that I’m too cheap to attempt (anywhere), but hear are good. They sell and use bumble and bumble, sell other various handbags and art, and are in general much better conversationalists than Shaky Hands McChatty at your local Great Clips.

I remember when TCBYs were everywhere. They were the Starbucks of delicious & delightful frozen treats. I don't think most of us realized they were slowly dissapearing, until they were virtually extinct. Now I find myself driving all the way to Lynnwood just to pay an arm and a leg for a chocolate cookie dough Shiver that generally gives me a stomach ache because I refuse to not eat the entire thing. Please beware I've never visited this location and heard their radio play anything but Christian music. All that said - it's ridiculously worth it.
