Hey, this place is great when you want to imbibe and treat yourself to a nice big slab of red meat. Its fancy without being ostentatious, and the waiters are overly willing to help you with selections on the menu be it the wine list or the specials. I usually go to the bar to hang out with friends and the bartenders seem to really know the regulars there which is a major plus. The drinks are nice- the house merlot is actually quite good and I am not even a huge merlot fan - unfortunately they got rid of the big fishbowl glasses. Brought my family here for a graduation dinner eons ago and my parents and boyfriend at the time raved about the food. It is steak and other fine food at its best. Would reccomend to travelers as it is right across from the Prudential.

Hey this is a good place to go if you are not on the hunt for meeting people. Odds are the guys who are here are there to watch the game, not necessarily hunt for chicks who are available. The beer is fresh and new although they often have new ones mixed in with the regulars. Its a good place to go for burgers and amazing fries or nachos but I would probably reccomend not going on a day when the sox are in town unless you want to stand in line for an insane amount of time and be lodged between two gross men waiting for a beer or the next home run. It is a great place to go for a casual bite with friends and if you want to see the Fenway area since it is right across from the park.

This was THE place back when it opened a while ago...what was it, maybe almost 5 years ago now. When the place opened it was the latest on the list of Randy Gerber's hot spots...for those of you not in the know, that is Cindy Crawford's husband and major restaurant entrepeneur. It used to have lines out the door and down the street of all different ethnicities, but lately I havent seen even a single person waiting to get it. It definitely is a cool bar, the waitresses are very tacky with their short black skirts etc but from what I hear that is a Gerber dress code. The staff is a bit snobby but its all good- you expect that when you go to this type of place...but does anyone go anymore????

This place on Marlborough St in the Back Bay has such potential, did I mention potential? Unfortunately the crowd that seems to gather here is not all that great, more like a bunch of guys watching whatever "game" is on during that season and some average looking girls trying to flirt with them. It is frustrating because besides being so close to home, it is a cute little joint with friendly bartenders and staff. Unfortunately there is no bar menu and no munchie menu for those who have had a few drinks - however you can always go right next door to Despina's place- see another review I wrote - which is open until way after the bar closes - and is worth its weight in gold :)

If you are working in the Longwood area or are a post doc grad student or dental student or overworked lab rat, this is a good place for toastie sandwiches and some suds to go along with it. If you dont want to see people you work with every day and every night, then dont go here, because odds are you are probably going to run into someone you know or at least have seen in the large yet surprisingly small community of Longwood Medical. It is a good place to chill before taking the T or the M2 home so go for a beer, some gossip (even if it is about science) and enjoy a place to relax close to where you hang your coat- even if it is your lab coat :)

Hey- do you want decent pizza that everyone raves about with the rudeness and attitude of those who feel pride in being completely blue collar? I was raised in a very democratic blue collar family but at least we had manners! The service was horrible and our food was thrown down on the table quite literally - the pizza was ok- interesting and very thin, but I cant imagine going to this hole in the wall near the airport ever again. My friend who is a pilot can go back on his own next time. The rudeness of the staff which they say is "typical" is not my style, no pizza could make up for that. I also would say the pizza was ok, but not "all that" like I expected from my friend's reviews.

I got a reminder that there are a bunch of coupons in a mailer that was in my lobby last week and I am so glad I tried the restaurant out. We got takeout and maybe it is a little pricey, but then again that is the price you pay for being able to literally custom make your own pizza from the dough to the sauce to the many many amazing toppings - the combinations are endless and you can find a pizza to fit anyones style taste and personality. Close to home we stopped by and were pleased with the service and quality - highly reccomended for takeout or delivery any day :)

Hey are you ready for some great late night and day time pizza and munchies including homemade spanakopita which is amazing? Can you make it past the cheesy plastic red booths which are breaking down and the huge amounts of large and mostly alive plants to get to the place where you order that slice or sub? Well then this is the place for you. Great pizza with thin interesting unique crust. Great prices. Get take out or go there for a nightcap after a night out- they are open until 3 am! :) Just take off your beer goggles first or you might get caught up in the bushy trees that create the "ambience"

This was an amazing and great surprise- we went there for restaurant week but got their regular menu which I expected to be super pricey as this is one of the more fancy restaurants in the South End and one of the only ones I really hadnt tried. Surprisingly, they have a price fix Saturday brunch which is not available on Sundays when most people go for brunch but then again maybe it is because the prices are so great. Even so, ordering off the regular menu was fantastic and the prices were more than reasonable :) Will be back very soon!

This is the most absolutely fantastic restaurant around. It is the best in Boston without a doubt. Forget the North End - you need to go across the street from the Park Plaza and take in the amazing minimalistic ambience, good looking people and amazing food. Dont forget to order the panna cotta for desert - save some room as you definitely wont ever regret it...Just work out a little longer the following day :) Go to Via Matta now- I dont even work for them :)
