I took a roll of film in to be developed at Rite Aid Pharmacies in Swartz Creek. I had found the film in a pocket of an old coat that I seldom ever wore. The girl at the processing machine took my film and told me that it would be just a bit. In a short while she was telling me that the roll only had two photos that were any good and wanted me to look at them. I didn't like the two photos that survived and she never charged me a cent. Now that's service!

Studio 14 Inc is a good place to get your hair cut. They are friendly and do a good job. There are not a lot of hairdressers there so the likelyhood is that you will get the same person doinhg your hair every time. There certainly are advantages to that! Walk ins are welcome and the prices are reasonable. What more could you ask for?

Swartz Creek Tree Farm is a pleasant place! It is a nice location with trees for sale as far back as you can see! In the Summer months they set up a small farmer's market stand and sell fresh veggies! Winter brings Christmas tree shoppers and all the lights! I'm glad that these folks are doing business here and I wish them well!

Would Swartz Creek still seem like Swartz Creek if there was not a Lovegrove's in town? There has been a Lovegrove in business here for as long as I can remember. Lovegrove's Cake & Candy Center is located right next door to where the Lovegrove's five and dime used to be. They sell candy making supplies and are very popular in the community. I highly recommend a trip in to see what they have!

I used to have my hair cut at Shear Excellence. I was very happy with them and the services that they provided. One day I saw a new shop nearby with a woman trying to make it on her own. I gave her a shot at my business and have been there ever since. There was nothing wrong with Shear Excellence. If that lady hadn't been trying out the American Dream I would still be getting my hair cut at Shear Excellence!

Syring Elementary School provides many opportunities to involve the parents in educating the children. My son just got done with an after school program (that was taught by a parent) that was all about learning how things fly. Every day there was a class he came home with a kite or a plane or whirlygig of some kind. More importantly he came home with the REASON that it flew. Syring Elementary turns out a large percentage of the high school's scholars!

His flies are so realistic - he tied one with teeth! You may get a lopsided haircut if you are not careful but you certainly would never get away without hearing a fish story or two.
