Who wants to smell bleach while they eat, the lady who runs this dirty and hot place(thier A/C was not on in 85 degree weather) was mopping with a serious bleach on her mop right next to our table while we ate. Then she made upo her own prices on the sides at the end. I don't think I'll be going back to this dive.

This place rocks. Authentic, warm and inviting but best of all great food at reasonable prices. You can usually find parking at a meter down the street somewhere or if your taking public it is right across the street from the Red Line's Belmont stop. As Gina stated there is a bar in back and they will be happy to serve you at your table also if you don't want to hang out there at the bar itself.

They buy and sell mostly used guitars and amps. They also sell all the accessories that you will need to accompany your guitar purchase; strings, straps, amp cords, picks, tuners etc.. these items are all new.
You can find some good deals on used acoustic and electric guitars. If you are selling, be warned you will only be offered about 1/3 or even less of the retail price of your guitar or amp.
These are no-nonsense guys that are not "chatty cathys" buy any means, do you know the type I mean? Buy or sell and split!

The outside of this place is very cool, it is painted with the Cubs colors and has alot of Cub themed decorations. It truly is an old-fashioned hot dog stand that has beefs, burgers, milkshakes etc.. It has a couple picnic tables outside and a couple of parking spaces, otherwise you will have to park on the street which should not be a big problem around there. It is also open until 2AM!

I went here recently for a family celebration. We were seated in the middle, which I think may have been a mistake. I don't know if the seating arrangement was an oversight on the part of the restaurant or my family that did not request to be seated in a special area. It gets very crowded here and there is not much isle room or room (space) between tables.
The food itself was great, hearty portions for fair prices. The service was very good but my brother did not think so and made it known to them.
It is in the same spot where the restaurant Bones used to be so I think they are carring on the rib/chicken "thing" very well. I did not have the ribs but they did look delicious.
A very poplular place- perhaps too popular if you want a quiet dining experience; it's quite loud in there and some of their clientel (on the night I was there) lacks class.
You can check them out at www.lwoodsrestaurant.com

Shakespeare's work will never die and still thrives around the world to this day. Is Shakespeare the world's most famous author (non-biblical) of all time.
Thanks in part to theaters like this stunning one at our own Navy Pier William's work not only lives but these actors breath new live into it. The multi-million dollar theater or theatre if you will was modeled after the origional Globe Theater as another reviewer Tabitha S. has pointed out.

I love all kinds of Chinese foods especially fried rice. Each place in town makes their fried rice dishes a bit different obviously. Well I decided to give this "joint" another try. I was a bit reluctant to stop in because on my last visit there they attitude wasn't so hot. Well they are still not the friendliest folks in the world by any means, but the people at the counter were different from my last visit. Perhaps they have new mngmt., and the food was overall better, it was less greasy and the portions were pretty large. There is no ambience or authentic decorations inside it is very plain looking. They do have a few tables but this is mostly a to-go kinda place and the prices are pretty decent.

Not only is this the only store of it's kind in Jeff. Park, it may be the only store of it's kind like this in all of Chicago. It started with the owner/operator of this quaint shop collecting Chicago Police memorabilia and Illinois State Police momentos and artifacts. Nowdays they sell t-shirts, hats, sweatshirts, books, coffee mugs, stickers, buttons etc.. that all have the Chicago Police or Illinois State Police logo on there. A great little store where you can buy gifts for a curent or retired police officer , anyone that loves or appreciates our law enforcement or if you just plain want a really unique suvenior from this area.

I pick up this station while driving sometimes, it comes in better on some days than others. The times I flip it on(not too often) I usually hear "old school" or traditional jazz, often times they are long instrumentals. The times they play more avant-garde jazz I don't care for it because much of it sounds out of tune or off key to me. I do like the fact that you won't hear your usual mainsteam commercials on this station, they make quite a few p.s.a. however which is OK I guess.

After being closed down for over three years and recently reopened about a month ago. It was closed down because it wasn't doing very well and it needed remodeling. It has a new owner now and they remodeled this classic old theater a bit. They only show films on Fri. nights (one showing only at 8 PM). . These films are either silent films or very old movies from the 1930s or 1940s. The first weekend they opened they showed films on Fri., Sat, and Sun, but for whatever reason they are limiting their screenings now to once a week starting up again July 21. In my opinion this is cetrtainly not what the neighborhood was expecting. I'll bet alot of folks thought after the much publicized reopening it was going to have a regular weekly schedule of first or second run modern films. Well this is what they are doing, the owner must be a huge silent/classic film buff and they will have a segmented audience come in. I hope they make it, the place itself is a gem that I believe was built around 1930 and has a pipe organ.
