An Old Standby

Saturday, May 13, 2006
The Hub Pub is just a little farther down its tiny street than some more famous neighbors. When you can't stand the lunch crowds, give it a try for basic club sandwiches, burgers, and sometimes fish and chips and other specials. The special sandwiches come with baked beans along with fries. The prices are good. It's your basic, townie pub with a decent beer selection and Tuesday night (?) karaoke with Miller Lite pitchers. The crowds show up Friday lunchtime so go another day if you want leisure. Also the waitresses tend to forget about you upstairs, so sit at the ground level if you can. Nothing heals like a grilled cheese and tomato from the Hub Pub.
