I love Ten Thousand Villages for gift shopping. I know that when I buy something from there I am helping people in more economically disadvantaged countries earn a good living instead of being paid five cents an hour to make something in a factory. The store is filled with beautiful arts and crafts. The employees are mostly, if not all volunteers. Shop here and know you are helping.

Kinkos has great customer service. While the prices are not wonderful, the employees are. They are located in convienient locations and there is a 24 hour Kinkos located in Independence, Ohio for your emergency copying needs. They also ship things via Fed Ex. The employees at Kinkos have always gone out of their way to assist me, and every copy machine has a little preparation station nearby with staples, rubber bands, a paper cutter, etc. Kinkos is the place to go when you have a big project to work on, or you need to do something technical on the copier and don't know how.

TJ Maxx is a discount store located at Ridge Park Square (to the north of the 1-480 Ridge Road ramp). They have all the typical departments: mens, womens, boys, girls, juniors and infants. They also have a small toy section, a houseware section, and shoe/ accessories section. The clothes are usually nice name brand though sometimes they have some very interesting and unique clothes. The prices are not incredibly cheap, but they are at a substantial discount. I would go to this store if I needed to create a large wardrobe, because they have many different brands under one roof. I also go here when I know I need something because with so many brands under one roof something is bound to fit me.

Though Old Navy is not expensive, I wouldn't say it is cheap either besides the clearance section. They have clothes ranging from casual to dress. They usually have an accessories section. I believe they have an item of the week that is on a very good sale for that week.

HH Gregg is a nice place to go when you need electronics for an inexpensive price, but not if you need customer service. The HH Gregg on Brookpark Road even includes and outlet, which results in even lower prices. They do offer delivery. I am pleased with HH Gregg and my only gripe is sometimes it is really hard to get staff help when you need something.. Otherwise, HH Gregg is a really great store for all your electronic and kitchen needs. It is located on the corner of Brookpark and Ridge, right off the I-480 Ridge Road exit (to the north on the left side).

Cracker Barrel is a chain restaurant, but the food there is great! The Brooklyn store seems to almost always have a long line, but that is because of the excellence of their food. I am always craving comfort food and this really hits the spot. Some of their best products are: chicken and dumplings, macaroni and cheese, and potato casserole. Sometimes the food is on the cold side, but the waitresses don't mind warming it up. It also tends to be on the loud side. While you are waiting to be seated, you can browse the store or rock in the rocking chairs outside.

The best thing about their pizzas are that they come with garlic sauce. It is a buttery-type dip that you can dip the crust in. Papa John's prices are not particularly good or bad, but I would suggest keeping your eyes open for the coupons. I have never had a problem with customer service with Papa Johns. The pizza is great and so are the employees.

The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority runs busses and rapid transit trains throughout Northeast Ohio. The park and ride is very popular in certain suburbs. This service allows you to leave your car somewhere in suburbia and take an express ride downtown. The rapid gets you places fast, but it tends to be very dirty. The employees range from very friendly to mean. If you have visitors, you should let them know that the rapid train goes to the airport and they can transfer downtown to whatever bus or rapid they need (though I would think you would pick guests up). Weekly and monthy passes are available and children and seniors recieve a discount. It appears that most busses are wheelchair accessible, but I am unsure if the rapid is.

Taco Bell on Memphis is an interesting place. It is very clean and the employees are very kind. However, they almost always fail to get my order wrong. I always check after I go through the drive through. This location was only built a few years ago, so it is very nice looking. The drive through is very long, but there is no escape and can feel claustrophobic at times. I enjoy this Taco Bell for its cleanliness and friendly staff, but I just remember to check my order. I have never had a problem with the food.
