such delicious shakes.... so wonderful. the first time I went, I almost didn't get anything because i was disgusted by the grease.... grease everywhere.... the floor, the walls, the counters... it was horrible... plus the workers were all clearly high school students who couldn't care less; but I had my first shake and now when I go back I politely avert my eyes and wait with delight and anticipation for my next frozen treat. I feel like the cold must kill anything that could hurt me... right? surely germs can't live in ice cream :)

Whenever in CAry, it seems we always end up a Cinelli's, I like to sit in the window room place. Ordinarily I get a calzone, and am quite pleased, I should stick with what I know is a winner and not branch out... but I did and tried for the penne al arribiata. I had it in Italy, and loved it, it means "Angry Pasta" because it is supposed to be hot and garlicy... Just in case, I asked them to make it not very spicy, even though I usually love spicy things, I'd definitely say more than the average person. When it came... it was all I could do not to cry just from breathing in the fumes. it was 1/2 pasta, 1/2 jalapenos. too spicy to even nibble at. No one could eat a whole noodle. So, The pizza is great, the calzones wonderful, but avoid that angry pasta!

my husband used to work in the kitchen here when he was a 'young un;' it has encouraged him to upon occasion make brave efforts at cooking in our own kitchen. I like to stop buy on my way out of town to get a box of assorted tasties for the car ride. the cakes are so beautifully decorated, if I had gotten married in Cary I would have had them make my cake.

My husband is from carey, and whenever we go back to visit we have to go to 'los tres' with his buddies from home. Its your typical mexican restuarant, free standing in the middle of a parking lot... colorful crap hanging inside., BUT I discovered you can go online and print out a coupon for a disount if you go to their website.
Magueye is the plant that tequila is made from. Just a lil trivia for ya. take that home with you, chew on it. its good stuff.

Its rarely crowded, and I go during what I would consider peak times, AM before work and 5ish after; and they have great classes, all included in the monthly price. A really wide selection, spin, kick boxing, I'm into the Pilates class, etc. and the best part is (though I've never actually done it) You can go to any of the fitness first locations, and they're all over DC Virginia and MD. So, you could, theoretically, work out before and after work and on weekends at the one near your house, and at lunch time downtown.

Everything about this place was marvelous. Go to brunch, its wonderful; grab a drink at their swanky 'off the record' bar downstairs, and enjoy marvelous service. We tried to check in very early (arrived much sooner than expected) but our room wasn't ready (it shouldn't have been, it was way early) they were overly apologetic; kept our luggage, and as an apology decorated our room with figs and pears and other leafy fruits, it sounds weird... but it was really nice. the rooms were luxurious; I would stay here again any time

Everything was lovely, and most of the service was great; the rooms were well appointed but tiny, but sadly, what I will remember most is a very uncomfortable situation that I don't think was dealt with well. I stayed here with a lot of family, and getting into the elevator one night, there was a loud and clearly drunk woman trying to get in with us, she shouted obscenities, tried to pick a fight with me and shoved my 78 year old grandpa... she was pulled out of the elevator before the doors closed, but no one said anything or followed us up to see that was okay. I was irritated that it was not addressed so I called the front desk, they suggested I file a police report, and i said it wasn't necessary, but that I thought they would have been more concerned.... they didn't really seem to care...

We went here during the last restaurant week... and it was... weak. Everything did have a nice presentation, and the service was okay, but i just didnt like the food very much. Their hip style makes them take normal good food, and weird it up. I can't remember what I ordered, but I remember asking what was in it, and they said mashed plantains.... I feel like thats a pretty strong flavor for a savory dish. Also, there was just nothing special about the restaurant itself, no great style or layout, the tables were very small and very close together, and it got very very loud.

its a small grocery store, very oddly organized (for example.... not all the aisles face the same way) produce is usually crap, but thats the case in most places around here, its a cheap place if you need a few things. it also, however does have a wide selection of latin american food supplies. Also, you don't need a card! its the same prices for everyone, no membership needed. slightly sketchy. don't go there alone after dark

But, I just dont really like their pizza. theres something about the crust that I don't care for, its too.... something. I don't know. But, I do still frequent the take out side of Ledo.... to buy wine! When shopping at Shoppers, (as we're in MD, no wine in the grocery store) I often stop buy to get a bottle to go; they only have cheapo table wine, but its not bad, and its cheap!
