Considered by some as the mere little sibling of UC Berkeley, UCLA has become one of the premier universities in the world. The cutting-edge research I have encountered through my professors and the stimulation of thought and analysis. What sets UCLA apart from other leading universities, however, is the unmatched success of its athletics programs, from the storied basketball team to the defending national champion men's tennis team to the up-and-coming football team, not to mention all the other sports. Balance and depth is a staple of the UCLA athletics program, and it is reflected in its academics as well. Simply a top-notch school.
