This is the third book of Stephanie's that I've read and once again I am thrilled. She has a gift of creating such vivid and fun characters. I enjoy her books so much! I can't put them down.
"The Art Of Undressing" by Stephanie Lehmann is a touching story about a young woman coming into her own with the twist that she has an exhibitionist mother who's made a living as a stripper, now sells sex toys, and teaches women how to be more comfortable with their sexuality. I loved Ginger, the main character, who doesn't want to compete with her mom and isn't even sure if she can.
This book is hilarious, but also so interesting, how the mother/daughter story is turned on its head, with a mom who wonders why her daughter doesn't want to be more of a sex object! I highly recommend this book.

"The Anglophile" by Laurie Gwen Shapiro was a little slow to start out, but eventually the pace was picked up and ended up to be a wonderful romance story. I couldn't put it down and I finished it in a day.
This story brings together Sharri and Kit (the handsome British man, Christopher) during a tour and conference that they both were attending. One thing leads to another and Kit invites Sharri to London with him.
Throw in a dead skunk, very strange family members, an old childhood school friend, an ever-growing suspicion about Kit, and soon Shari doesn't know what to do. Will she end up having to choose between her dissertation and a man? Or two men?
Without giving too much away, I will say that I really loved the ending.

In The Price of Motherhood: Why the Most Important Job in the World is Still the Least Valued, Ann Crittenden draws on her own personal experience as a mother and the experiences of hundreds of mothers around the country, as well as recent research in economics, history, child development and family law with respect to motherhood. She concludes that even though the concept of motherhood is considered sacred in this country, women who bear and raise children are consistently undervalued, uncompensated, disregarded in many circles and most vulnerable to the possibility of living in poverty if they divorce or are widowed.
We hear so much about the rewards of mothering, but so little about the costs. Because we love our children, women avoid discussing the heavy emotional and economic price we pay to become mothers. This book presents good solid evidence about the difficult reality of parenting in contemporary America, and it offers an intriguing solution.
I HIGHLY recommend this book.

The way the characters are portrayed and laid out in "A Promising Man" by Elizabeth Young is so realistic you'll root for them throughout the whole book. I loved this book! It's about a Londoner who's down on her luck in the love dept. She meets a man who she believes is dating her nemesis from high school and falls in love with him. But will they actually ever get it together? With many mix-ups, misconceptions, ill communication and much deception; it's hard to say up until the end of the novel.

If you had the chance to hit "redo" and make your life over again, what would you do differently? What forgotten dream would you dust off? Lauren Caldwell's Clean Slate is about a woman who gets that opportunity.
This books chronicles the life of Kelly McGraw who decides to wipe the slate clean and start over in a job that she loves instead of a job where she made a good salary but didn't have a passion for. She conveniently falls into a dream job working as the assistant to a fallen-from-graces famous photographer because she has taken a couple of photography classes at a local community college.
Laura Caldwell has a lot of talent to create such real and enjoyable characters. This is definitely a book I'd recommend for a light and enjoyable read.

At least her career seems to be finally going in the correct direction, she is making sets for a children's show and they love her work. Maybe she just might get the dream job that she has always wanted.
This was a good book and you get to learn about depression and how it effects how people deal with certain situations.
