I am a big fan of Yankee candles. I have been for years now. Even as a teenager I loved them. I loved to go in and find the "different" kind of scented candles like the "Freshly Mowed Grass" one. One of my favorites now as an adult is "Harvest".
Yankee Candles has tons of different scented candles like Autumn Leaves, Biscotti, Cherry Lemonade, Berry Crumble, and SO much more. They also have tea lights, tarts, votive candles, and more. Along with their candles they also have wax potpourri burners, lid toppers, and other various candle accessories.
Yankee candles burn for a very long time and truly scent an entire room. They make great gifts for nearly every occasion.

Last year when we went searching for a Halloween costume for my daughter, we decided to check out the Disney Store.
Upon entering the store, my daughter ran from costume to costume saying "Wow look at this" and "Ooh mom, isn't this pretty?!". After a few minutes of looking over all the beautiful costumes, my daughter finally had her heart set on a Cinderella costume. I'll admit, it was beautiful. So I thought, what the heck? Let's take a look at it. Of course being a mom, the first thing I looked at was the price tag. And that's when I nearly fainted. Clutching my chest at what seemed to be a small heart attack I finally managed to squeak out "Honey, this is just too much." The costume was a whopping $85!!!
After quelling all of the "But PLEASE mom"s we found another costume for about $30. That's when I decided to take a look and see if I could find a costume in her size. And this is when I experienced my complete and utter confusion (and maybe even anger). What kind of children does Disney make these costumes for? None of the costumes fit my daughter. None. They were all way too tight. The size that my daughter normally wears in her every day clothes, was about three sizes smaller here. I just didn't get it. My daughter is by no means overweight, nor is she stick skinny. This was ridiculous.
We finally left the Disney store after I gently explained to my daughter that the costumes here just weren't going to work and we found another store where the costumed DID fit her.

Up until two years ago, I thought that the store Party City only offered items for parties, such as themed plates, streamers, etc. So one day when I was telling my mom about the hard time I was having finding a Halloween costume for my daughter, she suggested Party City.
Party city has tons of costumes for both adults and children. They have everything from Disney character costumes, Barbie costumes, general costumes like witches and pirates, and characters like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.
The prices for the costumes range from $9.99 and up and the closer you get to Halloween, the better sales they will have. Along with the costumes, they also have many accessories to really make the costume great.
The sales people are very helpful. Last year when my daughter decided she wanted to be Belle from Beauty and The Beast, we bought her the costume, but then found that they didn't have the matching shoes in her size. One of the sales clerks told us we could leave our phone number with them and once they got a new shipment in, they would hold a pair of shoes for us. Sure enough, they held them for us!
Party City is a great place to shop for Halloween costumes, just be prepared that the store can get pretty busy and crowded!

We have a fairly new Old Navy store in the town of Silverdale right next to Best Buy. I received an Old Navy gift card and decided to check out the Old Navy store.
I was surprised by what I found (or maybe DIDN'T find) at the Old Navy. I had heard so many great things about Old Navy stores such as how great the sales they have are. When I entered the store I was on a mission to find the sales racks- I found none. Instead, I had to dig through the full price items to find sale items seemingly hidden beneath. What's more, the items on sale were still high priced! I was thoroughly disappointed. Some may think that digging through the clothes to find the hidden sales "gems" is part of the fun of a bargain hunt, but when I have my 19 month old and five year old with me- trust me it is NOT fun.
One of the main items I went looking for at Old Navy was a winter jacket for my five year old. I was surprised to find none. They had vests and hoodies, but no jackets. They had jackets for baby girls, but not big girls. I had assumed that since the Old Navy website had jackets for sale, that I might be able to find some in store. I assumed wrong.
The store itself was clean and very nice looking. The customer service was okay. The cashier was very nice and helpful, but while shopping I actually didn't see any employees around to help. I wasn't too impressed with this store, and unless I hear of some major sale going on and somehow muster the bravery to dig through clothes to find the sales items with two small kids in tow, I will probably not be back.

Taqueria Los Cazadores located on Viking Way in Poulsbo, Washington is THE place to go for authentic Mexican food. Nearly hidden from view with the many auto dealerships located on the same road, this place is a bit hard to spot. But if you shield the glare of the shiny new automobiles with a pair of sunglasses, you'll find this place right next to the Texaco station.
Whether you're looking for burritos, taquitos, quesadillas, carnitas, or just about any other mexican dish, this is your place. With every meat dish you have your choice of chicken, steak, shredded beef, or pork. Included with your meal is rice and refried beans. The portion sizes are large and generally cost about $5.95. The prices are unbeatable for the amount of food you get.
You can order to go or dine in. If you choose to dine in you'll notice that the place is pretty bare with minimal decorations, cheap tables and uncomfortable chairs. The plain fact is, this place isn't concerned with "wowing" it's customers with elaborate decorations. Taqueria Los Cazadores stays in business with it's exceptional, hard to find, authentic Mexican food. I highly recommend this place to everybody!

Recently I went to Grants Pass, Oregon to visit family and stayed in the Super 8 for 3 nights. The Super 8 is on 7th Street and conveniently located close to a Sizzler and Burger King.
Our stay at the Super 8 was okay. The room was clean with clean sheets, pillow cases and blankets, plenty of clean towels, and plenty of soaps. The room was air conditioned which was great and much needed in Grants Pass! The room we stayed in had two queen sized beds, a mini refrigerator, a tv, 2 small tables, and a bathroom with a shower/bathtub. We were told that there would be a coffee maker as well in the room but found that there wasn't. However, they do have coffee available in the lobby 24 hours, so this wasn't really an issue.
A couple of things I didn't find so great about this motel:
The motel was supposed to have a continental breakfast each morning with muffins, fresh fruit, bagels, etc but which only had muffins available every morning.
The room was supposed to be cleaned every day but wasn't. After our first night there the room had only had it's trash removed but nothing had actually been cleaned. It wasn't until the next day that the bathroom was cleaned and the floor vacuumed. I have two small kids that tend to get crumbs all over the place so it would have been nice to have the room vacuumed after that first night.
The motel has a pool and we took my girls down to it. Of course they had a blast. After drying off in the room though, we found that both of my girls had skin irritations, and my mom and I had felt like we inhaled a bottle of bleach. There was way too much chlorine in that pool.
Overall though it was a good experience. About what you would expect from a Super 8 motel. If I had the choice, I probably wouldn't jump on the chance of staying there again(all the other motels in town didn't have any vacancies) but I also wouldn't be upset if I had to.

Casa Luna offers nachos, botanas, burritos, fajitas, enchiladas, and more. The food is delicious. The food is served hot and the servings sizes are large.
My favorite is the Fajita Burrito:
A soft flour tortilla, stuffed with pot beans, rice, grilled onions and green peppers, with either chicken or beef, garnished with lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole.
With brick arches, sombreros, and Mexican rugs for the decor, you'll feel like you've stepped into another country...Mexico.

Amanda is warm, extremely knowledgeable, always helpful and a very talented teacher. She owns sheep and spins her own yarn as well. She is very helpful in converting patterns for a specific yarn.
I can never walk out of this store without having purchased any yarn!
