On a recent vacation this month my family and I went to Asheboro, North Carolina to visit the zoo there. This zoo is the third largest zoo in the country and we couldn't wait to get there.
Now, before i get into the zoo i just want to mention that if you plan on staying at a hotel like we did, you may want to consider staying in another town like Burlington or Greensboro which is only about 30 minutes away from the zoo. The town of Asheboro is a small one with not many choices on where to eat. All of the attractions close at 5pm and you find yourself sitting in hotel for the night with nothing to do on your vacation. not fun. Also, for anyone who is interested, the county that Asheboro is in, is a dry county. Meaning no alcohol is served or sold. This wasn't a big deal to me, but my husband on the other hand was not happy that he couldn't have a beer with his steak. lol. But Greensboro and Burlington are much bigger towns with lots more to do (including outlets at Burlington) on your down time and much more choices on where to eat.
Now, on to the zoo. This zoo is fantastic!! I've never seen anything like it. The zoo is divided into two sections, North America and South Africa i believe it was. Now with this being in two sections this should tell you that it is quite large. You walk up and down a lot of hills and it can be hard on your feet so wear comfortable shoes. They also have a train service that runs in the zoo but i think it only runs during certain parts of the year so you may want to check on that ebfore you go. They have every animal you can think of too. Elephants, zebras, giraffes, monkey's, everything. And what is great is that the animals are not kept in cement areas with small patches of grass and dirt like i've seen at other zoo's. All of the bigger animals are kept in large hilly fields of grass and trees. It was amazing to see these animals roaming around like you are on a safari. And they are still so close to you. I got some amazing pictures that i will be adding to my page soon.
You can really tell that these animals are well kept for. They all looked so fantastic. They also had really great set ups for the monkey's, ape's, and gorilla's. They had a giant dome that you walk into and at first i thought we were walking into a greenhouse or something, but then i saw all the monkey's. it was great.
This is a must see for anyone who loves going to the zoo. Oh, and they also have great gift shops on both sides of the zoo. And in the center of the zoo is another gift shop, places to eat, and a giant carousel that was quite beautiful. my son loved it (ok, so did i!).

i just love old navy! the prices are so fantastic and that is so important when you have a growing toddler. i don't have to worry about my son ruining an outfit the first time he puts it on because chances are, it didn't cost more than $15 or $20 total. gotta love that. the people at this location are so friendly and every time i go in there people are ready to help me if i need it. that's a big plus right there. everything is always so neat and in place. they don't always have in the store all the items that are listed online but that's ok. shipping charges on the website are always $5 no matter how much you spend! this is and has been my favorite clothing store.

the people at this place are great. they really are looking out for the customer. my husband stopped by this dealership to look at a vehicle and was greeted by Paul, a fantastic salesperson. Paul gave my husband a great deal on his trade in when no one else would. while my husband was waiting on some details, Paul saw another couple that he recently sold a car to drive up to the dealership. they were only there to pick up something they ordered but he made sure that they left with their car freshly washed and full of gas. he was courteous, honest, and up front about everything throughout the entire process. I've never met a car salesman quite like him and i most likely won't again. he's one of a kind and if you visit this dealership make sure you ask for Paul.

i love this place and so does my toddler. the haircuts are a little pricey but worth it. it costs $12 for my sons haircut but they have a rewards program and you get coupons in the mail all the time...
i love this place and so does my toddler. the haircuts are a little pricey but worth it. it costs $12 for my sons haircut but they have a rewards program and you get coupons in the mail all the time to get money off the haircut. they have tv's with lots of movies to choose from to keep kids entertained during the hated haircut. and they have car and fire truck seats for the younger children to sit in for extra entertainment while they get their haircut. the stylist are great with the kids and I've never had a problem. my son has actually never cried during his haircuts at cool cuts. check out their website www.coolcuts4kids.com its a great place.

I had a great coupon to try the big 32 oz bottle for only $1 so i went for it and i'm so glad that i did. When i first opened the bottle it smelled so fantastic that i was almost surprised. I know they say this brand started off in the salons but because of the low price even before the coupon, i didn't think the quality would be that great. Boy, was I wrong. It leaves my hair feeling silky and smooth and it smells so good that i wouldn't stop opening the bottle to smell it. I like to mix up my hair products every now and then and this will most definitely be a shampoo that i want to keep on hand and use regularly.

TRESemme Conditioner is one of those products that you are pleasantly surprised about. I tried this product because i had a great coupon for the shampoo and the conditioner and i'm so glad that i came across it. The conditioner is thick and really does the job with my hair. it gets the tangles out and makes it feel silky and smooth. I have naturally curly hair that i straighten everyday and being in North Carolina and dealing with the humidity here, i've noticed that my hair has less fly aways since i've started using this conditioner. i would really recommend this to anyone who is in the market for a new conditioner. There are coupons going around in the papers and i believe online as well so that you can buy it for $1 after the coupon. That's how i ended up trying it and i will continue to buy this product. With or without a coupon.
