Eskimo Joe's in Stillwater is still one of my favorite palces to go when I am in town! I love their burgers and fries, and you can't beat their yummy "Fowl Thing", which is a marinated chicken sandwich with cheese and pineapple. YUMMMM!! Their shirts are found the world over...everyplace I have gone I have seen them. Disney World, Europe, Mexico...you name it. If you find a huge crowd of people, someone will have a Joe's shirt on!

We had so much fun at the Lazy 5 rance. You can either drive through, or take a "hayride" through and feed the animals. You can actually feed and pet all kinds of animals...from giraffes to goats to llamas. They also have bigger animals on the grounds like bison and buffalo! Take a picnic lunch and make a day of it. They have food for the animals available to buy, and as you drive through you can roll down your windows and feed the "critters"

and were your good hiking shoes. You will be putting on a lot of miles! This zoo is so nice to visit, especially in the spring and fall. Don't go when it is too hot or you will be worn out way too soon! The zoo is easy to find your way around, and I love the open areas for the animals. Giraffes have plenty of room to roam--they are in very nice, natural areas. They have a lot of animals, places to eat, shop and picnic!

Steeplechase has some great apartments--and all different sizes. They have one bedrooms, one bedrooms with sunrooms, two bedrooms, some with laundry facilities, some without... If you choose to not have a washer/dryer, they do have some on site for residents to use. Nice pool and clubhouse which you can rent out for parties and events. Overall, they have very nice tenants.

I love Costco. The store is always clean, and the employees always friendly. They have *great* samples and hot dogs. My biggest annoyance with them right now is their new milk cartons. They spill everyplace when you try and pour the milk. They have revamped them, and they are supposed to be better now, but I purchased them again and still have the same problem. So, my advice--buy anything but the milk! :-) They have great marinated pork tenderloins--they are so good!

Sam's keeps getting better and better. They recently remodeled and the store is a lot nicer and can compete better with Costco now b/c they have a bakery and fresh meat counter now. You have to know your prices at the store. Some items, bought in bulk, are actually cheaper when on sale at places like Harris Teeter. For example, when HT has buy one get one apple juice, it ends up cheaper than Sam's prices. You cannot beat the prices on a lot of things at Sam's, though. Items like milk, eggs, and yogurt are GREAT buys all the time!

For a consignment store, I have to say Once Upon A Child has some fairly hefty prices. A lot of their used items of clothing can be found new at places like Kohl's or Target on clearnace for less than they are charging at OUAC. You can find some good deals, but you really need to know your prices going into the store. If you don't know that you can find an exersaucer someplace else for $30, you might be willing to pay the $55 they are asking at Once...Child.

There is nothing wrong with a hand-me-down, and you can find some great deals at Goodwill on clothes, shoes, housewares and more. I recently found a 3 piece Step 2 kitchen set for only $9 and except for needing to be cleaned up, it was in perfect condition. These retail for like $80+. It was a great find! I think anyone who is willing to go to garage sales, etc... should be willing to also go check out Goodwill!

The thing I like best about Target it the store is always clean. To me that is a big selling point. I don't want to have to manuever around a lot of pallets in the aisles and fight huge throngs of people. The have a great little eating area, and you can usually find whatever you are looking for--kids items, toys, housewares, cleaning supplies, clothes and more. They also have wonderful clearance...up to 90% off. Shopping after holidays at Target has become a favorite thing of mine. Halloween, Easter and Christmas items for pennies on the dollar!
