I have been driving a Scion xA since August 2004. The most reliable car brand in the market is Toyota and since Scion is a subdivision of it (as is Lexus); it too is backed up by this dependability. I recommend this vehicle to commuters because of its easy maneuverability, decent gas mileage (right now, I am averaging about 29-34 MPG. It should be higher, but I drive mostly on local streets rather than freeways and highways), and you get a lot for such a cheap price. The xA’s base price of $12,995 includes power windows, mirrors, and locks, air conditioning, CD/MP3 player by Pioneer, and anti lock brakes. You definitely get more for your money in this one!

Diary-X established higher standards for its users when it came to “blogging.” The focus of the journaling site was that to inspire members to write longer, more intriguing and inspired entries as opposed to short logs of your daily endeavors, setting itself apart from the masses of blogging services available today. I have been a member since late 2002 – with over 200 precious entries written in my name, chronicling my senior year of high school all the way through college.
Long story short, Diary-X just experienced a massive meltdown early this year and every trace of the website (and all 200+ of my entries) is lost somewhere in the vast cyberspace. Since then loyal patrons have banned together to recreate a second Diary-X, only better.
Codexed.com will be the home of old and new authors who have a passion to write. I highly recommend this journaling service if you have the itch for composition.
To monitor the progress of codexed., refer to http://spinneretta.com/forums/index.php. It is a forum of former D-Xers who are involved (or curious) with the development of codexed.

It is easy to say that I prefer Mozilla Firefox over Internet Explorer. This browser is so much user friendly, faster, completely customizable, comes with built-in pop-up blocker and search bar, and has less problems when it comes to security. There is a brilliant tabbed system on the tool bar which is a MUST for organization freaks like myself (I don't like a messy desktop). The many plug-ins can be found on their website, where you can download different skins, buttons, and extensions. The only problem I have found with Firefox was the fact that it is yet to be fully compatible with some websites, which are usually personal pages/weblogs that are coded with certain types of CSS. Although annoying at times, it is still not enough to make me stray from this browser.

Who would have thought that paying a restaurant for food that you would have to cook yourself would be as delightful as it was? Shabu shabu --Japanese for 'swish swish'-- at Koji's is Japanese American dining at its finest. What you will order is a plate of thinly sliced pieces of meat, poultry, or seafood and mixed vegetables. When the food arrives raw, you cook it in your own personal hot pot. It is a great way to eat healthy, much like sushi, because you are actually eating less while feeling like you are eating more. The accompanying sauces are tasteful complements to the otherwise unseasoned and unmarinated meat.
Located right in the heart of the Hollywood and Highland center (and also at the Block in Orange), this restaurant is swanky, fun, and a great date location. Overall, I give it to thumbs up and a high five.

Ikea is one of my most favorite places to shop for furniture and other accessories for the home and office. To me, it is the Fry’s Electronics for the world of home fixtures with its reasonable prices, gigantic selection of practical and unique products, lenient return policy, speedy checkout, and frequent sales. It is especially great for college students who can barely afford going to school, let alone furnish their dwellings. If ever you go to Ikea, do not forget to stop by the As-Is department. You will find extraordinary discounts on “damaged” items, most of which have only a few scratches in places you cannot even see.

I know I may not be the first to say this, but the 2D scroller MMORPG, Maple Story, is addictive as hell. I remember playing it for a short while a couple years back, but I was not drawn into it until recently. For those who want to delve into the world of Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Gaming but doesn't want to pay the price (cause you're a cheapass like ME! ^_^), Maple Story is just the game for you. It is lighthearted, incredibly cutesy, easy to learn, and have I mentioned highly addictive? It sort of reminds me of the older Final Fantasy games, namely Tactics and V, in regards to it's job class system. The classes you are able to choose from are Mage, Bowman, Warrior, and Thief. My character is a Level 10 Magician if you were wondering!

First and foremost, I understand the health risks associated with smoking (which is why I stopped) so spare me the lecture! With that aside, Camel Exotic Blends add new taste to an old habit. These new blends come packaged in appealing old-fashioned tins of twenty cigarettes with flavors such as Dark Mint, Crema, Twist, and Mandarin Mint to name a few. The Citrus Twist and Crema has always been a favorite of mine. I have found that some people found these flavors to be stronger, but I think it goes down just fine, especially when accompanied with a tasteful drink.

You can never be too old to enjoy a board game. Fans of party games and trivia games should consider buying Cranium or Cranium Turbo Edition, a creative mix of word games, sculpting, drawing, charades and more. It is game played in teams of two or more and the objective is to make it around the board doing anything you can to get to your goal; acting out like famous people, make sculptures out of purple clay, humming the tunes of a song, or even drawing pictures like in Pictionary. It is a great way to break the ice because you are constantly interacting with your teammates and sometimes even your opponents. In February 2002, Cranium won the coveted Toy Industry Association's Game of the year. Over 1.3 million copies of the game have been sold since its release.

This may sound like an unusual combination, but let me tell you: it is the greatest invention in food next to fried mozzarella! Okay now seriously, there is some major serious soul food happening in this place. There are plenty of locations to choose from in the Los Angeles area and even though it may look like a dive or a hole in the wall, don’t be fooled. The waffles are a perfect balance of sweetness and cinnamon and the chicken is crispy, juicy, and paired with the best gravy I have ever tasted. Just don't eat too much of it at one time... I wouldn't want you to have a heart attack!

I am very particular when it comes to my prime rib. And by particular, I mean that nothing beats out the Diamond Jim Brady cut of prime rib from Lawry's. Oh, just thinking about it makes my mouth water. Everything about Lawry's restaurant is classic and tasteful. From the moment your car is taken away by the complementary valets to the moment you walk into the elegant dining room, you know that you have arrived in a place of grand style. If you want to treat your special someone to a dinner he/she will never forget, Lawry's is definitely the place to do it. Make sure you make reservations and don't forget to wear your Sunday best. My boyfriend took me to that restaurant in Beverly Hills for our two and a half year anniversary last year.. and yeah. It was a night I will never forget, especially when the evening was capped off by our waiters bringing in a candle and a cake, singing "Happy Anniversary!" to us. Awesome stuff.
"The Beef Bowl." A neat little trivia about this restaurant: every year, before the Rose Bowl game, Lawry's in Beverly Hills hosts each participating team separately to feast on some yummy meat. This tradition has been going strong over the last 50 years.
