It's a great place to grab a quick dinner for some of your friends or your family. Be sure to pick up some jalepeno poppers while you're there. They're great! The service is pretty poor though. The people there don't seem like they want to work at all. -__-

Back in high school, my friends and I were addicted to this place for their chili cheese fries and nacho plate. We we also all involved in sports back then so we could eat these things guilt free. Chano's offers really great mexican food for reasonable prices. And compared to a lot of other mexican restaurants, their food is significantly less greasy. I loved this place and I wish I could have one more nacho plate.

Tuk Tuk Thai is probably my favorite thai place. Though it doesn't have quite the ambiance of Thai House, this place has a far wider selection of Thai Food. Their menu offers pictures of several of the dishes so you can better decide what you'd like to try. I highly recommend the duck curry. That stuff is awsome. The service is quick, though not very friendly.

My research advisor once treated us out to dinner at Liaison Bistro. The food was very pricey but also very delicious and flavorful. The menu is limited like most bistro's but items they had available was delicious. I highly recommend the duck. The place is small, cozy and quaint. It's perfect for a couple of intimate friends to share a nice evening and conversation. They also have excellent desserts if that peeks your interests.

I will admit that I am very accident prone and I often find myself having to go to the University Tang Center...However I really hate this place. The wait usually takes forever and I have heard so many stories of my friends being mis-diagnosed. I am lucky enough to have this happen but every time I go in with something sprained, it takes me about 3 - 4 hourse to get a simple wrap or brace. The only good side about this place is that the doctors are usually friendly.

Koreana Plaza aka Pusan is the best place in the East Bay Area to get Korean spices and ingredients and foods. The place is small and you can only find specifically Korean foods and merchandise here. It's supposed to be like a supermarket, but there are a lot of things you can't get here (like paper towels or toothpaste). So if you're planning to get your house hold supplies, consider another place, but if you're going to cook up an authentic Korean meal, this is your place.

New Asia has been in Chinatown since my mom first came over from Hong Kong. She said the quality's gone down since then, but its still a great place. It's probably the largest dim sum place in town so there's plenty of room (which is rare for San Francisco). The dim sum isn't that great but it is among my top choices in terms of SF Chinatown. I really recommend their Ha Gaou (Shrimp dumpling)...they have the best in town. Seating is plentiful, except on weekends, where the place gets packed by 11am.

Golden Gate Bakery offers the best chinese baked goods you'll find anywherel, that's assuming you're lucky enough to go there when it's opened. This place is so successful that the staff takes off for months at a time for vacation. When it is opened, the line pours out the door, but it is worth the wait. It is very yummy, very delicious and very fresh. Definately worth checking out if you're in the Chinatown area. Service is also great...well it's better than the other Chinatown bakeries at least.

The California Academy of Sciences is the best place for the old and young to really experience the wonders of nature. When it was still opened in Golden Gate Park, there were tons of areas where one could just touch and grab sea cucumbers or star fish. The new facility has just as much interesting stuff, including a huge aquarium with their own coral reef system. They have interesting events all day long...including a session where they show how they feed their python. Really cool place for everyone to enjoy

The first time I went to the Exploratorium was when I was seven years old and this place had a major influence on the interests I pursue now. This place isn't nearly as fun anymore; the attractions don't hold the same mystery they once did. But for a kid, this place is just magical. They can learn so much in just one day in this place. If you have kids or are taking care of some and really want to distract them for a long period of time, you really should bring them here. And for the adults, the exterior of the museum is surrounded by these gorgeous greek ruins. A perfect photo opportunity. I've seen a lot of couples take their wedding pictures here. And if that isn't cool enough, there's a lake with these huge gorgeous swan. Just don't get too close; they'll chase you down.
