So I've never been to a fondue place before, but I've had fondue that my friends have made. Fondue Fred's cheese fondue had a really bad aftertaste and they did not really taste like anything but alcohol...i was really dissappointed...especially because they were so expensive. The service was very slow and they ran out of things too like apple. The atmosphere is cramped and I just did not have a fun time.

Just this past weekend, I had the privledge of going to the Yosemite National Park in California and let me tell you, it's an amazing location.
COST:
The park costs $20 a car to enter, so the best deal is to pack your mini van full of people and just split the costs.
WHAT'S THERE:
Among the many attractions are Half Dome (a giant rock that literally looks like half a dome), several lakes and rivers, numerous waterfalls, and a glimpse into what the world looked like before man took over. The state park is huge and has a variety of trails that you may take, ranging from those that are kid friendly and those that are going to challenge your body and livlihood. (My group and I went on the 8.6 mile panoramic trail...i haven't been able to walk yet and it's been two days since we went -__-) But despite the pain, it was worth it. The highlight of the trip for me was walking next to Verona Falls and being showered by the mist that came from the falling water. It was like being inside a Lever2000 commercial. Simply breathtaking
WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR:
Being summer, there were a lot of people there with their kids, so try to get there early to beat the crowds. Make sure you bring walkie-talkies and go with people...just in case anything were to happen, you have some means of getting help. Bring lots of water because you will run out if you go on the harder trails. There are areas to refill your water, but they are few and far apart. Wear lots of sunblock and mosquito repellant because those suckers can't wait to get a taste of you. If you're going to camp there, remember to keep your food and stuff in the bear bins...And please be careful...The trails are steep and dangerous so keep your focus.

Food:
I usually only get take out hear because I don't like eating in such tight quarters. The food is great tho. It is packed with flavor and nicely priced for the amount of food you get. Expect to spend around $7-$10. Their pad thai is really good.
Service:
They're not that friendly, but they are very fast.

When you first hear Racha Cafe, the first thought that comes to mind isn't exactly Thai Food.
Ambiance:
The place is nicely decorated for a Berkeley Resturant. The seating is a bit squished. But other than that I can't find much wrong with the place. Pay attention to their sculptures and art pieces. A nice distraction.
Food:
Food is really good. Their vegetarian dishes are very flavorful. Their curries are a bit subtle in flavor though. I prefer the strength of indian curries. Serving sizes are average. Like most Thai places, you need to order rice separately. Prices are decent ($7-$10)
Service:
Service is fast and friendly. I think their staff are students. So they're really nice and chill. The place isn't usually too crowded so you can get what you need quickly.

I just had my first Islands esperience and it was great!
Ambiance:
The look and feel of the resturant was great. It really helped the place live up to it's "Islands" name. The seating was a bit squished, but that's because we had six people on a four person table.
Food:
Servings were huge!!! The burgers were about the size of my head...ok maybe smaller, but it wa still big. They have great combinations. My friends and I each got a different burger. I highly recommend the Kilauea, Pipeline or the Toucan. The sad part is that you have to order the fries separately, but it comes in a huge basket, more than enough for 2-3 people.
Service:
A bit slow. Took like 10 minutes to get my hot water. But the servers are very friendly.
Other:
Lots of parking. If you go around lunch or dinner times, you may need to wait a bit to get a table.

My friend recently introduced me to Pho Convoy. Their pho and rice noodle bowls are really tasty and the prices are decent. I dunno what the standard price for pho is. Pho is berkeley starts around $5 and gets close to $7. But the prices here were $4-$5. You get lots of spring rolls on the spring roll platter. The service was fast and the seating was comfortable. Mmmm...Fishsauce ^_^

I finally got a chance to go to the San Diego Zoo. It was great! They had hundreds of animals from all areas of the world. My friend was kind of sad that there weren't any penguins. But I guess that's what Sea World is for. The park was huge though, and being out of shape, I got really tired by the end of the trip. The prices are fair and I am really glad that the park is non-profit. All proceeds go to protecting endangered species. Food is pricey, so bring your own snacks.

Creations is one of those places that just make you feel good when you're there. The place is filled with contemporary furniture and has a nice crowd. The desserts are all very colorful and delicious...at least the fruity ones are. They offer some chinese delicacies like swallow's nest and crystal snow (but I doubt its the real stuff cuz the real stuff costs a fortune)...I'm giving it four stars because the place is hard to find; there's a big tree directly in front of the sign and the place is really stuffy.

Guadalahara Grill is a great place to go if you have a large group. They have lots of room and the platters are huge. I didn't think the food was all that great. The chips and salsa were very yummy though. The prices weren't very nice. The mariachi band was a nice element except when you wanna chat with your friend. It's a bit loud to have a nice conversation.

My tennis team and I used to come here a lot. But I really love the food they have here at Cowboy Burger. I don't know why they call it Cowboy...but they offer a wide selection of burgers and mexican dishes like burritos and tacos. The food is great and if I remember correctly it's opened 24 hrs or at least really late so you can always be sure to have access to some good food even late at night.
